Where do I begin! I researched for hours on trying to find an English bulldog for my husbands birthday. I was pleasantly surprised when I found pupsamillion.com. I contacted Jeff Graham and I immediately formed trust in him. There were several minature bulldogs listed on his site. I had never heard of a miniature english bulldog, Jeff assured me that the one I inquired about was pure-bred. It was only CKC registered though. Several puppies on both his websites (pupsamillion.com and puppyavenue.com) looked like a cross between a pug and an english-bulldog.

The Thursday before my husbands birthday I was supposed to go to the airport and pick the dog up. Due to weather conditions, I was unable to. I became even more worried when Jeff rufused to answer my phone-calls. He promised to try and get the puppy to me by the weekend. The weather had cleared and was fine by early Sat. morning. There were no attempts to get the dog to me. I told Jeff from the beginning that my schedule during the week was awefully crazy. He seemed to understand, but I was so wrong. I sent a detailed email to Jeff explaining how important it was for me to get the puppy A.S.A.P...I checked SEVERAL times a day and there was never a response. He already had my $1800.00, and I was getting very worried.

I finally called him on his number and of course his sister answered the phone. I was very polite and asked to speak with Jeff. I had not even spoken with him since the previous week. I was frustrated enough to ask his sister for her brother to call me immediatly. When Jeff called me, I was appalled by the fact that he would name call me when I had not done a thing wrong expect wonder when I would get my puppy and also the flight intenerary. He had the audacity to call me ANAL and also impulsive. This guy had no idea who I was so why in the world would he call me these names? He told me I had ruined his day and then proceeded to hang up on me!! I cried for hours wondering what was going to happen.

My husband was expecting this puppy and I felt like I had just lost my money. After I calmed down, I explained to my husband the situation. He is always a calm person but became outraged by the whole situation. My husband wrote him an email and demanded our money back. Thank God we went through PayPal! Jeff responded to my husbands email and bad-mouthed me throughout the whole thing. When the whole time I should have put Jeff in his place, I am just too nice of a person. I also read several complaints on this guy after the puppy situation fell through. Some people didn't recieve their health certificates and some of the pets developed SERIOUS genetic problems. He is a HYBRID breeder. Do not trust him! His puppies are supposedly CKC registered. This registry is an awful one and is no way affiliated with the AKC (a true and trusted registry). Do not let this Jeff Graham rip you off!! If you did get a puppy it is probably mixed with a pug or something else...Its a very fishy situation and I thank God that He pulled us out of this. I truly feel sorry for anyone who has bought a dog from this guy. He is a FRAUD! BEWARE of Jeffrey and Tonya Graham!!

These people...Tonya, her mom and dad, have been harrassing me the past two weeks about the report. They even called my father's business and pretended to be my friend to get my address. I had a horrible feeling towards the end of my pursuit of a bulldog with these people. I have read so many negative reports and heartbreaking stories. When I answered the first time (about a week and a half ago)they were REALLY nasty to me. There was no need to yell and scream at me over the situation. I just know that this whole thing has gotten out of control and the reason I posted the second update was because of the endless amount of calls. I forgot that I had already updated my orginal report last year. Mind you this all orginally took place over a year and a half ago. These people have a lot more to be concerned about. Just take a look at what some other people have called them (for example (just to name a few):
"evil people", "liars", "puppymill", "broker", "scammers"). Calling my family pretending to be my friend is the creepiest thing I have ever heard. I don't know these and people and I don't know what they are capable of. We have been in contact with the police department and our attorney over all of this. I know we have outlets that we can resort to if this moves any further. May this be their warning if they read it. Leave us alone please...we don't want to have to worry about this anymore.

I understand your frustration with your situation with this "Over The Net" puppy purchase, however I do have to say that you really can't judge all breeders who do sell and advertise on the internet as being not honest people and looking to rip people off, not that, that is what you said in exact words.

I will say this anyone looking to do business with someone online whom they have never met nor have any previous relationship with, this day and age should always google the persons name to see what comes up and research that person. I really feel with all the tools at our disposal there really shouldn't be any reason why anyone goes into a business deal blind.

I will give these tips on purchasing a puppy or kitten online, first off if the seller isn't willing to invite you into their home to view the animals and their parents and will only meet you in a parking lot you should simply walk away. When I say if the seller isn't willing to have you to their home what i mean is some breeders will offer to drive part way to meet the buyer as this is much less stressful on the new pet then being shipped if distance is an issue, however if you the buyer ask to come to the home to view the animal and parents in person they should be more then willing to invite you, however you need to also remember that most breeders will not allow visitors into their home until the babies reach a certian age and have atleast been given their first vaccines, so that isn't a red flag in its self, however as I said if you ask to come to the home and they refuse simply do not purchase from them.

Next, a good breeder will tell you all the great things about the animals they raise but at the same time they are also willing to tell you all the bad things that come along with their breed. Most breeds of both dogs and cats have health issues that any pet owner should be aware of and if the pet buyer hasn't done their research on the breed they are looking into the breeder should be willing when asked what these issues are, to come right out and tell the buyer and not try and say, you know I have never had health issues with my animals, granted that may be the case however they should say, personally my breeders have never had these issues however these are the health concerns that come with owning this breed.

The last thing I can say is all reputable breeders work with a contract that protects both parties as well as the best interest of the animal being sold. This contract should state what the breeder expects from you the buyer in regards to the raising of this animal as well as state what you can expect should something go wrong with the animal in a certian amount of time, I know I give a 1 year genetic guarantee and should something go wrong, I will replace the animal. Don't be turned off if there is not a money refund guarantee after 72 hours as most breeders will not refund money after that initial 72 hours but should be willing for atleast a year when you purchase the animal as a baby, replace that animal with one of the same sex, color and quality should there be a genectic health issue in the first year that will hender the animals quality of life or should the animal pass within that year due to something genetic.

Oh I just remembered, never ever send money through a wireless transaction like western union or money gram as they can not be traced nor do you have any recourse in getting your money back should the buyer back out of the sale or simply just fail to produce the animal. Also keep in mind most breeders require a deposit to hold any baby and those deposits should you the buyer back out are not refundable but that should also be clearly stated in your purchase contract as well as on their website.

last but not least, please, please just listen to your gut, most of the time I find that those who have been ripped off, typically had a feeling something wasn't right long before they knew it wasn't right. I know this won't help those of you who have already been ripped off, but I do hope it helps others who are finding their way to this site and or this report while doing their pre-screening research and just know there are more good breeders out there using the internet as a means of advertisement then there are bad so you just really have to use your head.

Update 6/13

I do not know for sure if he is a hybrid breeder. The whole situation is extremely fishy. I also cannot conclude if he is a fraud because I never received a puppy. Thankfully we did get our money back, but the whole thing was very draining. I have read more reports about people who have received puppies and they have had major health issues. If you feel lead to buy an english bulldog or any other type of dog, just make sure to do your research and always make sure parents are on site....don't buy over the net. Just some friendly advice.

I recieved a call from Jeff Graham today..he told me that I was saying slanderous things about him..The only thing I shouldn't have mentioned was that he was a hybrid breeder...I had just heard he was, I am not sure..but..you know what I would say if I had to guess...I would never even consider again buying a puppy over the internet after this whole ordeal!
