This was the worst experience in my life. Being a member off AAA I agreed my car to be towed to AAA affiliated service. The charges were higher than the ones that were advertized. They were charging me twice the amount of the parts. When confronted the manager said that thats how he pays his bills by riping off customers. He also called me an a**hole. The policy of AAA is to return the customers the old parts as a evidence of work done. They said that they will return only if I pay them for the old part.

I was desperate and called AAA, but they told me that they can not do anything and I have to pay the bill and then to dispute. The autoservice even call the police, and I thought that this is my only hope, but obviously they knew each other. The police said that they can not do anything with regards to the insults and improper billing and they will arrest me if I continue to argue.

They all behaved like a bunch of crooks. People thought that Al Capones times are over!

i don't know where you are getting any of this from. I am also a AAA member. I had my work done at this garage also and actually found that they charged less than the place i usually go to. They gave me guarantees on everything through AAA, and it's even nationwide, which is great bc i travel. if you bothered to ask them WHY they couldn't give you back the parts maybe they would have explained it to you. i asked for them as well and they did NOT call me an a**hole. they explained to me that they send my parts back to their distributor and that's why i got lower prices on my parts than i did with my regular shop. in order for me to keep my parts i'd have to pay more for this reason. i seriously doubt that they would be in business for as long as they have been, and also have a shop that's massive in size, if they admit to every customer that they rip people off and overcharge. I mean, that couldn't have possible happened. I dont know who would even believe that kind of nonsense. These guys dropped me off at home so i didnt have to wait around, called me when it was ready and even sent someone to pick me up so i didnt have to take the train in the freezing cold.
