after 3 months of negotiation for purchase of a ukc registered female puppy, we were finally supposed to get her shipped to us on or about jan.19th 2002

we called rich @top dogg kennels to make sure the puppy got on the plane okay.

he said she was not eating good that morning and the veternarian wouldn't give her a health certificate to fly, i told rich if he couldn't get her on a plane today we wanted a refund of our deposit.he assured me she would be.

after not hearing from him for a couple of hrs we called that day and for the next 3 days with no answer or reply.

finally the following wednsday he called to say she was on a plane to us,i looked at the clock and she had already been on the plane for 2 hrs before he called to tell me , not to mention we hadn't heard from him for 4 days.

i went to get her and she had medicine taped to her kennel and was extremly sick and underweight.

i immediatly requested the vet. number from him and had all her info faxed to my vet. and went straight there.

she was checked out by my vet, needed to be nursed back to health and of course upset called rich and renegotiated new price and papers.

that was jan and we still have no papers. the guy who has them said he had better things to do then mail them out to us.

we felt lied to because the guy who has them isn't even part of "top dogg kennels" yet we were told to contact him, after numerous attempts to him with no success we still as of today have no papers and a 6 month old dogg..

Papers don't really mean anything

I'm sorry to hear of your experience with this person, however I wanted to say that papers don't mean anything-Eligibility for registration does not affect the health or genetic fitness of the puppy. It only affirms that the puppy comes from registered parents of that breed. So be happy you have a healthy puppy and just enjoy him!

PS-Papers don't mean that the puppies aren't from back yard breeders or puppymills. Almost every petstore puppy has papers and they have some of the most health problems of any.
