When I was online-banking at Citibank website, a window popped up saying if I respond to a survey on the quality of their website, I will get a merchandize worth up to $35 for free. Responded to seemingly Citi questionnaire, and then was transferred to another site. I thought it was for reward and provided my debit card # to pay $5.99 for shipping.

I receievd a watch later with no invoice or paperwork.  Then I realized that I was charged $98 for the watch.  When I disputed the case, the merchant said that I signed up for monthly buying clulb for the membership fee of $98 and agreed to purchase a first merchandize, a watch for $98.

When I was on a conference call with Top Styling and Citibank, they told me that they cancelled the membership as a favor and can refund $30.  The citibank person did not help, she was on their side, as I was not able to produce any proof of "not knowing it is a scam"???. I was forced to make a decision and chose the refund, thinking better something than nothing at the end of three-way conversation.

I was so mad that I reconsidered and re-opened the dispute. I was trying to return the merchandise that has never been used and is worth $10 based on the Amazon India website, but EFancy, Top Styling's cient service and call center which dose not have physical address, refused to take returns.  I had to swallow $98 for $10 merchandise.  This is injustice, unfairness.  Unbeieavable that this happens in the civilized country like United States of America.
