Top Ten Hawaii Paniolo Express Dinner Train Rip Off Maui Hawaii
My new bride and I were on our honneymoon in Maui Hawaii. My sweet bride reserved a romantic trip around the Island on the Paniolo Express Dinner Train. The reservation was for Thursday May 6th.
On Wednesday we found reasons to cancel the Dinner train and called the Paniolo Express Dinner Train offices. The lady at the offices told us we would have to call the reservation agency since it was within the 48 hour cancelation period. I told her that I would talk to them and get back to her and that we still planned on showing up to the Dinner Train Thursday night. When my call with Top 10 Hawaii was fruitless we changed our plans and counted on attending the Dinner Train.
When we showed up at the train we found that our reservations were cancelled. The lady at the ticket counter asked for any credentials supplied by the reservation service. When we told her there was none provided she told us we couldn't get on and gave no recourse.
Through the last two weeks I have been talking to the Operations Manager by the name of John at Top 10 Hawaii. We have been going through the story several times indented with several embellishments by the staff at Paniolo Express Dinner Train. I have just been notified by John that the Paniolo Express Dinner Train is not going to refund Top 10 Hawaii and Top 10 Hawaii isn't going to refund us.
That means I am out $130 and have nothing to show for it. There was obviously an error in communication. Paniolo Express Dinner Train had no right to cancel our reservations and Top 10 Hawaii didn't provide the services offered by the $130 we paid them. This is a reminder to every consumer - Just because you paid an agency for a service, any trust in that agency to be your advocate is NOT well founded.
