Toronto Auto Station Sold me an automobile that was written off in the USA Toronto Ontario
I bought a car from Toronto Auto Station. It was a 2004 Nissan Xterra that they claimed was a lease return from Nissan Canada. After about 3 weeks with this suv I had numerous problems with the most expensive being the transmission was blown.
I had tried to take the 30 day exchange guarantee but Ravi, the salesman gave me the run around and that wasn't going to take place they tell me. After more hideous problems I had it completely checked by a certified mechanic in Down Town Toronto. He told me to do a "trace" on the suv because it had obviously been involved in an accident.
I did do that and I learned that this car was a write off in the USA. Sent to Quebce where it was "Canadian Fitted" and in my hands. A lemon and an unsafe car.
My nightmare just begun as I contact Manager Mr. Ray Behroozian who can only be described as an "a**". He threatens and is 100% a snake oil salesman and tried to further rip me off by selling me an more expensive truck. When I threatened to report it to Ontario authorities he became abusive.
So my options were to report him and guess what? He was right- they don't care . I didn't even get a response from the Ontario Consumers office and the Toronto Police told me it's a "civil" matter. How can that be? I was under the impression it was a criminal manner?
If anyone can help me please contact me. A lawyer or consumer rights person would be great!
