I spent $2500 for a Toshiba laptop in 2001. When I purchased the laptop at CompUSA in Burbank, California, I was told by the sales associate, and by the information included on and inside the box, that I would be recieving several rebates.

I was supposed to recieve a $300 rebate for the laptop, 3 free DVD's of (THEN) current movies, and a rebate for a printer as long as I buy a specific printer (which I did).

It's now 2003 and I have yet to recieve a rebate. I called them a month after sending my rebate forms in and they said everything was sent properly and I would get something in a few weeks. I then called and heard this same speach for about a year.

Finally I was told that their rebate department was transfered and that the files were misplaced and that they would send my rebate out right away. Again, nothing happened. I called last week and was told the same thing once again. It's been almost 2 years and I have waited patiently for Toshiba to honor their offer, but they have yet to do so. I am currently going to be filing fraud complaints and am considering taking this to court.
