TOSHIBA will not stand by their warranty two weeks out, started w/ service carrier, refusing to believe that my one year old TV would have picture failure. After going through the carrier I found that it was the TV, called TOSHIBA, TV was two weeks out of warranty, told them how I came down to determining it was the TV, but they could care less & quite rude about it too.

When YOU demand that they help you because YOUR warranty is ONLY 2 week expired, how did you expect them to act?? We ALL KNOW that YOU were less then gentlemanly over the phone. What YOU are probably calling "rude" is YOU NOT GETTING YOUR WAY!!!! Which is ALWAYS the case with the consumer. Its so very common now that a question has to be asked. HOW were they rude?? Did they call you names over the phone? Did they perhaps burp or fart on the phone itself? If not then YOU haven't a leg to stand on with a rude comment. Odds are YOU were ruder then THEY could ever be, especially once they said something to the effect of "Im sorry sir but your warranty with us is expired. There is nothing we can do". At THAT POINT is when YOU lost what YOU call a mind. Firstly, I don't care if its ONE DAY, ONE WEEK, or ONE MONTH past your warranty. Its is PAST ITS WARRANTY PERIOD!!!!!! There is NO GRACE PERIOD!!!!! If your warranty has expired then its on YOU the OWNER of said TV to get it fixed. Odds are that YOU were expecting the manufacturer warranty to cover YOUR ISSUE!!! But a manufacturers warranty ONLY covers quality of the build and quality of the parts. BOTH of which have to be signed off on BY the company who makes said item.

In 40 years I have seen only two instances where a company has taken responsibility for the quality of the build or parts. Besides all of that, YOU were offered an EXTENDED WARRANTY from wherever YOU purchased it from. However YOU GAMBLED AND LOST!!! So suck it up and move forward. THIS IS ON YOU!!!!! YOU chose to gamble with your TV and YOU LOST!!!! That is all this is. NOT that the company wouldn't cover your issue, but that YOU CHOSE THIS COURSE OF ACTION and its biting you in the a*s. And NO ONE is bailing YOU OUT!!!!! Get over it and move past it. Funny how YOU expect other people to take responsibility for YOUR ISSUE and when they do not, YOU go on the web and bash them!!! Im going to see if I can contact Toshiba on FB. THEY DESERVE A CHANCE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST YOUR ACCUSATIONS!!!! And on the plus side if THEY don't like what YOU wrote, THEY have a civil remedy! Guess its going to suck to be you if THEY find your post. But HEY!!!! YOUR an adult!!! YOU make poor choices. Whats one more POOR CHOICE in this life of yours!!! I mean whats the worst they can do?? Oh THATS RIGHT!!! THEY can sue YOU for defamation!!!! I would rebut this and tell the entire web going public that what I wrote was MY OPINION!!!! In the future make sure YOU are covered. Better to have the warranty AND NOT NEED IT, then to NEED IT and NOT HAVE IT!!!! Get that extended warranty!!
