Like several people looking for the next weight loss miracle, I began surfing the net for help. I ran across an ad for Acai Berry Extreme to be supplemented with Total Cleanse. The two items together were suppose to give optimal results. Then came the better part of the deal, try both FREE while paying ONLY shipping and handling. The only problem with that is they obtain your credit card information for the shipping fees and then they start placing charges on your account that you don't remember authorizing. When you call to cancel, the account representative begins telling you that you agreed to a fee for a trial version of this or a trial version of that when you authorized your account for shipping fees ONLY. I know I did not authorize my credit card for the extra charges but have no way to prove this. So far I have had no problem cancelling the charges from ACAI Berry Extreme. When I received my free trial (finally) it came with a paper telling me to cancel within 14 days or they would charge my account. When I called to cancel they had already charged my account $89 and it had not been 14 days yet. They cancelled any future charges and reimbursed my account the $89. However, a program called FIT VIP had charged my account $29.95. They said they were linked to ACAI Berry and I had authorized the charge with my Free Trial. They were also very helpful in cancelling any future charges and reimbursing the $29.95. I have had no luck whatsoever in contacting Total Cleanse. I have not received a charge on my account from Total Cleanse as yet, not even for the shipping. However, before they do start charging my account, as no doubt they will, I would like to put a stop to it. I have read several internet comments with people having the same problem with Total Cleanse. Another thing that is disturbing is that I tried these free trials because they were being endorsed by Dr. Oz on the Oprah show and MSNBC. One would think that Total Cleanse would make themselves a little easier to contact being linked to such endorsements. The phone number I have for Total Cleanse is 866-320-0038. I get the same recording each time which tells me that my call cannot be placed at this time and to try back later. I've tried for several days at several different times from my home and cell phone with no luck. If anyone knows a better contact number I would really appreciate it. The phone number that I have for ACAI Berry is 877-350-8480. The only advice that I have for other charges that may occur on your account is to look beside the charge, sometimes a phone number for that company is provided which is how I cancelled my FIT VIP. Unfortunately, I will probably be monitoring my statements for months to have charges removed. I can say that this experience has taught me a BIG LESSON about ordering from the internet! I guess nothing is really ever FREE!
