Total Credit Intervention Tony Placek Big Promise and No Delivery Scam North Port, Florida
In April 2012, after approximately 2 years of correspondence back and forth with Midland Funding, LLC regarding
disputed charges on a Home Depot credit card, I was overwhelmed with the paperwork and making little to no progress. Being unfamiliar with exactly how to resolve the dispute, I decided to call a few "Credit help organizations." I chose Total Credit Intervention after speaking with Tony Placek, who sounded sincere and appeared to be eager in helping me
resolve my dispute.
On April 12, 2012, Mr. Placek came to my home and I signed an agreement for services, which promised the following:
1. Create letter challenging the dispute, and putting creditor on notice of my rights and demand required
information under the FDCA.
2. Immediately contact all creditors via certified mail return receipt requested. All certified mail to come back to my residence or place of business.
3. Respond to any and all additional letters from creditors by the next business day once correspondence received by me.
4. Suggest I sign up for credit monitoring service, such as free credit reporting. Provide Total Credit Intervention with my user name and password, so they can challenge any information on my credit reports as well as send certified mail challenges to any company who has placed negative statement(s) on my credit.
By April 16, the first letter was sent as agreed and return receipt was received on April 20, 2012. On April 24, Challenge letter was sent and pending court date.
June 13th, response was received at my residence, I scanned and forwarded to Mr.Placek who communicated up until July 31, 2012. After that I received 3 emails stating he was really busy and would
call me soon.
I never heard from him again. I never received a final court date or anything until a few weeks ago from Midland Funding LLC's attorney that said they were awarded the final judgment.
Now I have to hire an attorney and get resolved. What a big mess.

Big words Tony, but after you took my money you refused to answer calls/emails from me as well. You ripped me off back in 2012 as well, but now in 2018 I see you have a new/different business name and a new LinkedIn page (and even a different first name, GENE?). This guy is a FRAUD who will take your money and skip town.

Tony responded and stated he doesnt know who I am. Below is a cut and past of just two of the emails he sent me. He just cant stop lying.
Seriously? He doesn't know who I am. He did respond several times stating he would call me, however that never happened. Below are two of his responses.

I've made 4 attempts to get you to call me back. At this point, I am assuming you
have just run off and left me hanging. We had a written agreement and you have not done what you said you would do.

Tony Placek does not offer any solutions

It is pointless to communicate with Tony. He is not offering any solutions at all. I made several attempts. This business is listed as being an LLC in April, so it is quite early to run into all these problems. If you check BBB you can see that he also responds to them, but anyone that knows BBB you will also know that it is easy for Tony Placek to produce a reply, just like he has done here, and in the 2 instances on BBB the customers are not happy with Tony.
That means you also know he is a compulsive liar as he stated here on ripoffreport in comment #1 that they always had very satisfied customers. In the contract there is nothing about payment terms, it is all upfront, so again he is making stuff up. Maybe some have negotiated monthly payments, but I doubt he offers that option when Total Credit Intervention is a scam and it does not take customers long to find that out.
Those 2 customers probably turned to BBB because you get nothing from Tony and they are foolish to think that BBB can help. I am not one of the customers that tried to get help from BBB, because I know it is a waste of time. By writing this on ripoffreport I hope that I help potential customers of Total Credit Intervention to avoid them making a big mistake and sign a contract with him.

Anyone who is a customer of mine can contact me directly and we will resolve the issue directly

After I received my first notification of being listed on Rip off Report I received multiple emails from companies offering to help me for a fee for what they have called reputation management. So far the two complaints that I have received are not customers of mine. I found it interesting that I have never had anything like this happen before and now I have an alleged issue and for a fee this type of thing will go away. It feels like a scam to me. If any of my customers have a problem they can simply contact me and we will resolve the matter in a way we can both live with. We have hundreds of Satisfied Customers and I will share with you that we have had instances where people were supposed to pay us for service and then defaulted on the agreement they signed. We are very clear with our customers if they stop paying, we stopped working.

Reports of Total Credit Intervention being a scam is popping up everywhere now. The story is always the same. He is really really really busy and does not have time to help you. He only seems to have time collecting your money.Tony Placek does little more than send you the standard letter requesting debt validation and after that you are on your own, as he is busy defending his scam operation. I share pretty much the same experience as the guy who posted this ripoffreport.

I don't know who this person is

I take customer service very seriously and this is the fist time that I have ever had this type of a comment about my business. We have always had great references and very satisfied customers. I don't know who this person is as I have never had a customer by that name.
If they were a customer of mine I would be more than happy to talk with them and arrive at a solution that we could both live with. Everyone makes mistakes its what you do about them that's important. I take great pride in our business and if someone has a complaint I would be more than willing to resolve it.
