Complaint Review: Total Home Protection Home Warranty

Total Home Protection Home Warranty I put in a claim on my water heater. It stopped heating water, plumber came and said I needed a new one. Could not be fixed. Edson New Jersey

The plumber put in his report to the insurance company. Total Home Warranty declined my claim because the water heater had a leak. According to the claim manager and resolution advisor, the contract states they don't fix heaters with leaks. The reason for the claim was that the heater was not producing any hot water, not because it leaked. They still denied the claim. I read the contract, and they do not cover anything that will make the water heater work.

The refrigerator had a leak and they would not cover that either. Again, just about everthing involved with this unit they also do NOT cover. This company is a rip off! I tried to cancel and I could not get reimbursed for what is left of the contract. I paid for the contract from 2019 - 2022 and they would not reimburse any of it back to me. Not to mention I paid for the insurance, in full- $1598.00. It is very dissapointing to me that I lost all that I invested with them.
