Complaint Review: Total Solutions Property Management in Manchester NH

I would never recommend this company to anyone looking for a rental.  My 82 year old mother rented from them starting in January 2012 and paid a $675 security deposit.  Upon moving out in June 2014 after she was approved for senior housing, Total Solutions sent her a letter stating that they were keeping the security deposit and that she owed them an additional $701 as they had to paint with 2 coats of paint @ $875 (hope the paint was gold plated!!!), replaced all the blinds (4 mini blinds which she couldn't even reach since she's not even 5 feet tall and 1 vertical blind on the slider) at $475.00.  During the last 6 months that she lived there she sustained 2 floods (1 from the drain pipe on the patio that froze and backed up into her apartment and another one from a 3rd floor apartment that burst).  They did nothing and she spent at least 3 hours each time on her hands and knees mopping up the water.  When we sent them a letter with our objections to their excessive charges she received a letter yesterday claiming that the $701 has now increased to $1176.  Can't wait to speak to a lawyer on how this company is trying to take advantage of a senior citizen with limited income.  Please warn anyone that you know to stay away from this company!
