Toto Energy Fraudulent trading against the UK Government, Consumers and Self-Employed Agents. Brighton, United Kingdom Nationwide
A company committing fraud and encouraging it's commission agents to committ fraud. This is a new energy company in the UK, owned by Magnum Utilities. Magnum Utilities install Smart Meters for Gas and Electricity consumers. Toto Energy sell gas and electricity. This company (Toto) sends reps ie Commission Agents, into into people's homes and encourages them to switch their energy supplies, and promises to install a smart meter for them. People are blatantly lied to and informed that if they do not switch there and then, they will have to pay for their smart meters in the future. The UK Government has made it clear that all households must have a smart meter by the year 2020.
These commission agents are self employed and therefore have no job security so essentially they are encouraged by any means necessary to force the sale, including lieing to potential customers. Toto's price for Gas is fairly competitive, however their price for electric is very high. They use a method of Low, Medium, High consumptions to compare prices. This is totally misleading the customer, especially those who use more electricity than gas. The law in the UK is quite specific;- when an energy company makes a comparison against another supplier they cannot leave the customer worse off.
Toto energy has mislead alot of customers this way, but they also retain large portions of agent's commissions against future cancellations. This forces the agents to use by any means, to get a sale. The british revenue service also needs to investigate this company as proper deductions are not being made. This is also against the law, and gives these commission agents no security whatsoever. People are being promised smart meters, especially those seen as vulnerable, but they are having to wait ages for these smart meters. The government has made it pretty clear that smart meters are to be installed FREE OF CHARGE.
These commission agents are supplied with a Tablet PC which is charged to the Agent on a weekly basis. If an Agent leaves, the Tablet is to be returned to the company and then sold to the next agent. So not only do these Commission Agents have no job security, they are purchasing Tablets from the company which could be 10th-hand.
In a nutshell they are deliberatly misleading consumers, defrauding the UK government of revenue and ripping off their Commission Agents as well.
