Here Is a letter I recently wrote to Touchstone Research Group regarding their late delivery.

September 11, 2012

Touchstone Research Group
244 5th
Ave, New York, NY,
10001-7604,

I am returning this document, as it came in an untimely
manner. I paid $89.99 on August the 8th of 2012 for expedited
service, advertised 3-7 day service so I could enroll in the fall semester at
my local college. Needless to say it did not arrive in the advertised 3-7 days.
It arrived exactly one month later. Following a 1 week grace period that I
allowed, I attempted to call your company no less than 10 times and I was hung
up on each time. This is unprofessional and following research that I
admittedly should have done prior to enlisting your services, I have discovered
that I was not the only one having these issues with your company. I also
contacted The National Archives and Records Administration in College Park, MD
regarding your expedition service and they informed me that no legitimate
expedition service exists.

The charge has been disputed and regardless of whether you
delivered you did not deliver in the time table you advertise. I will continue
to dispute this charge indefinitely and suggest you contact me if you have any
questions.

If this is new information to the reader of this letter I
suggest you do some research on the reputation your company has earned from
transactions such as this. If this happens to be an above board company, this
is not how you should treat customers.

Please take these documents as I have ordered them the only legitimate
way, directly through The National Archives and Records Administration which
they inform me will be here in the same timetable you delivered, one month. I personally
find it ironic that your so called expedited service takes the same amount of
time that anyone can receive a DD214 free of charge from the government. I cant
help but wonder if you are charging 90 dollars for forwarding documents that I
could have easily done from the beginning.

With all the respect I could muster,
Joshua Edwards

Josh,

Thanks for speaking with us as a follow-up.  Josh's records were not located at the main military records facility, NPRC, in St. Louis.  The facility holding his records recently moved into a new building and all expediting companies have suffered slower response times as a result.  We are working with the facility to remedy this situation, but we still retrieve more than 85% of all our orders within a few business days.  To date, Touchstone has helped more than 25,000 veterans retrieve their military records.  Unfortunately, a few of those cases occasionally face some difficulty (sometimes within our control, which we diligently work to fix, sometimes at the hand of the government records facilities).

We give each client the opportunity to leave a review following their order, and the vast of our veteran clients receive their records in a few business days and are extremely satisfied.  Just for comparison, you can access DD-214 Express reviews here: http://dd214express.com/catalog/government-dd214-express-service-pr-28.html

Josh, feel free to contact me if you have any farther questions or concerns.  Thanks for your feedback.
