Touchtone Telemarketing What they say just might be true. Here's Why. Boston Massachusetts
I must say this is the company I warned my boss about and showed the complaint from Darryl. I didn't know there were two more complaints and now I'm the 4th. I can't tell you anything new that hasn't already been said. When you call they do answer the phone "Customer service" not the company name. As a matter of fact I JUST tried a little test. I called the company, a gentlemen answered "Customer services." (yes with the 's' at the end) I said " I'm sorry, who am I calling?" the gentlemen's delayed response was "What company are you looking for?" to which I replied "Oh, I'm sorry, I think I have the wrong number." If you don't believe anyone here including me, you can simply test this yourself.
As a matter of fact google their address, it leads you to a UPS Mail Box store. Now most legit companies do use mail boxes, but usually it's a PO Box. You know where you are sending it. These people I feel don't want to be found and barely want to be reached.
Back to Darryl, when my boss called his contact Barbara and basically asked her to explain herself. Her response was that Darryl complaint was bogus and that he is actually a competitor trying to steal business, and that this kind of thing happens all the time in their industry. It's competitive. She said they were filing suit against him, and to just ignore it. There's one issue with this "rebuttal" of hers, usually when someone wants to "steal" business, they usually refer another company. If you read Darryl's complaint carefully, he does not refer another company. No complaint posted here does. Well one apparently did (Fallon, NV) but the name was deleted.
Barbara said to contact the BBB and see that their record was satisfactory. I search the BBB before the conversation took place and found no record of them at all.
When my boss asked me to contact Barbara to let her know we sending a fax of the check (who accepts payments like that), Barbara couldn't be reached because apparently she was on another call, the gentlemen who answered took my message for her to call me back. After an hour and a half I called back, she's still busy. So I just spoke to someone else. A few hours later someone called saying the Barbara was still busy but they wanted to know how to assist me. I told them everything was all ready taken care of.
It's quite simple, you don't have to believe anything here, but I beg of you please do your research, my boss decided not to listen to me, and he's out $750. These people haven't called with a lead yet and it's been a month or so. My boss ran an ad in the paper for people with telemarketing experience. Just one of those people he hired got him 5 appointments in 2 weeks! It doesn't take much.
Try some of the things I mentioned here,
Call them 1-800-779-8442
Google their address 198 Tremont St., Boston, MA 02116
Search them on the bbb.org you won't find them. (I just checked again to be sure.)
I'm going to try to ask my boss about filing a BBB report as well as a FTC report. I doubt he'll go for it though. He'll probably stay in denial and just try to call and see what's up, or make a fuss. I do strongly believe that these people are scammers. But you don't have to take anyone here word for it. Check it out for yourself.
One last thing, the fact that these people actually spend time searching this site to the point of actually calling the customers who post here should make you think.

You need to contact the Mass. Attorney generals office. if you go to the website, you can find information about filing a report. You will first need to send a letter of demand and then can file a report. You may also contact them directly and make the complaint that they are doing bussiness as a massachusetts corporation and are not registered with massachusetts. make sure you tell them they have their name as Touchtone Telemarketing INC, the "INC" is the important part. they should be able to help you. I spoke with the corporations divisions in the SOS and they told me I would need to contact the Attorney general's office of Massachusetts. which I have already done. Please contact me if you need more information.
