Touro University International Rip-Off Online University! Cypress California
I took a total of '10' difficult courses from Touro University Online. The instructors had no problem with the content of the work performed until the end of the required number of courses just before my dissertation. (ESTIMATED COST PER CLASS $1600 OR GREATER MORE OR LESS)
I was only one course away from completing the program and left the somewhat less difficult course for last. Suddenly, nothing I did was correct and everything was questioned by this one instructor: Dr. Debrxxx Connellxxx for example here is one of her comments made to me in an email (you be the judge):
Paraphrased --Begin Comment: "But if you are looking for a silver bullet, there just isn't one. There is no "quick and dirty" way to get a PhD. Certainly not in this class and certainly not when it comes to the dissertation. The PhD was the hardest thing I, or anyone I know who has earned one, has ever done in their lives. There is no way to earn this degree other than to work for it." End Comment (Remember this was my last class, which could have been told to me before spending any additional funds, because I had this instructor before in a upper level class that was more difficult.)
This instructor went out of her way to grade me the worst possible on everything and anything, which most instructors at the University did not have a problem.
Even during the dissertation process other professors at different University were wondering, why was I asking for a chair-person and not going back to the the University in attendance?
It appeared the instructor did not want me to complete the dissertation process--no matter what. I was placed in probation and told. You going to have to spend more money to complete the course by challenging the grade from Dr. Connellexxx at the same time completing the dissertation process, which would mean spending even more money, time, and effort.
It would appear to me, if I had that many problems to begin with, how did I get to the dissertation process and fail a beginning course offered by the University.
I decided that this University was just ripping me off for my financial aid money and contesting the grade was just a part of the scam.

I strongly disagree with Sherman's assessment of Touro University. I am also in the PhD program at Touro University. I have finished my coursework and am starting my dissertation.
I have found that the professors at TUI more attentive to the needs of students than those at other universities I attended. They are extremely helpful, courteous, and very fair in their grading. They also are very accommodating when extensions are needed. Whenever I have any questions, they respond within 24 hours. They have even gone out of their way to make sure my questions are addressed (which does not occur at many of the reputable universities)
I did have one grading issue among the ten courses that I have taken at the university. However, the Dean responded favorably within 24 hours.
The situation you describe is not an accurate depiction of the university. Any issues that I have brought to the attention of the Dean have been promptly resolved.
