Aproxitmately 2 months after getting my car back from this dealership I finally received the remote entry pads for the alarm system. And what a freekin suprise they did not work. I took them to my local Lincoln dealership to have the programmed and again to my surprise the employee at the dealership informs me that the remotes that I have been given are not the right ones for my vehicle.

It seems that Towbin Dodge enjoys continuing to screw their former customers.

I have tried to contact Mr. Will Toores, the general manager, regarding this ongoing matter. And would you believe it he nor any of his employees have contacted me in almost another 2 months. Guess sometime in the next millenium I can expect to get everything corect regarding my car that they have basically destroyed the value on now.

Please if you have any need of any questions answered regarding these thieves feel free to post your questions.

I want to start off with the fact that I am not part of Towbin Dodge, nor am I in the car business, just an informed consumer. But I do want to say that dealerships constantly take "Blind trades" all the time. That means they accept them assuming a particular value, and sometimes after thier mechanics go through them they turn out to be broken, or have major problmes which drops the values, they also take them with the HOPES that the registration can get changed over, and its not the dealership that decides that, its DMV, and yes that can take 30-45 days, so dont blame the dealership because DMV rejected your paperwork.

There could have been a lien on the vehicle, or some other form of restrictions. If its out of state then of course DMV would not want to blindly change the title over for a car you don't legally own.

People get calls all the time asking for cars back, because thier financing fell through, usually because the finance company finds something out about the person after more thourough research. OR they want the car back because your trade was suddenly found to be worth MUCH less than originally estimated, remember thats only an estimate when they give you those numbers, and most of it based on your own words.
There are a lot of sharks out there, and the sad part is we are in a blame everyone else for everything else society, from what I know of the laws they did nothing wrong.

People should read and understand letter

#6Author of original report

I will first start by commenting on the rebutal sent on 12/21/03 by Henry.

If you had read the letter thoroughly you would have read that the remote entry keypad that was sent was no the right one for the vehicle. If it had been the right one then I could have programmed it myself as well. That is why I went to the local Lincoln dealership, to see what the problem was.

Second, for Henry again and also Raymond who posted on 01/02/04. Well I guess you guys are the few people that didn't get screwed by the dealership. COngrats. But as you can see by letters other than mine I am not the only disatisfied customer.

As for the rebutal from Thomas an employee of Towbin Dodge. YOu must be in Fantasyland. I have never made any threats to you. Granted I will afmit I have been abusive to certain employees of the delaership. But with what I put up with there I think I have been more than kind.

Now for you statment as to the trade-in. Yes the title was never transfered into my name and according tot he Nevada Department of Motor Vehilces it sis not have to be for me to trade you the vehicle. Second for your company to tell me this is a problem a month later after my purchase of a vehicle from you is just plain stupidity on the part of the employees there. If your company felt there was going to be a problem with the trade of vehicles then none should have taken place in the first place.

And as to the remote entry system for the vehicle. Your statement that none was given in with the trade is the biggest lie I have ever heard. Maybe you should try running for political office. If I had not given you a remote entry system then why did i receive a different key than the one that was originally given to you? Can't wait to hear your answer to that.

Also in you rebutal you state that you gave me a new remote entry system to end my alleged confrontational emails and other communications. If I never gave you one then why send me one to replace it? Gee sounds like an admition of liabilty on your part. So I will take it that since you sent me this item to ease your mind and get me off your back you must have just grabbed one not even caring if it was going to work on my vehicle.

Now for a last few things. Stating you had been advised to avoid ocntact with me for your personal safety is another fantasy of yours as I have previously stated no threats where made to you or any other employee of the Towbin company.

And Finally, your continued avoidance in this matter has made me seek legal counsel to resolve this matter in the most efficient way possible. Guess now the judge and possibly the jury will decide whom is right and whom is wrong in this ongoing matter. And I am sure that if I take this to a jury trial against Towbin Dodge and individuals involved with this I will prevail do to the simple fact that jurors will be sympathetic to my situation, as I am sure some if not all will have had a bad experience with an automotive dealership in the past.

P.S. Thomas - guess Will and Chopper taught you well on how to continue to aggrivate the customer even after screwing them in your store.

I purchased a 1998 BMW 318i from Towbin Dodge about a year and a half ago and it has been the best investment I have ever made. They gave me the absolute best price for the car and would like to show my gratitude to Josh Towbin "Chopper". Thanks for giving me a great deal and I will definately be back in the near future for my brand new 2004 vehicle. Keep it up Chop.

This sounds like a whiny crybaby report

I purchased my third car from the Chopper over Thanksgiving weekend. What a great experience. I got a great deal, on all three of the cars I bought from him, including my Tahoe, and 2 Lincoln Towncars.

I myself was able to program the remote by reading the manual, and my dad who is very non technical had no problem programming his.

I found the Towbin team to be fast, fun, and extremely responsive. This complaint sounds like a personal problem to me.....
