im legaly seperated from my wife and my insurance went sky high with Tower Hill insurance and i got another quotetation from the same company and i was mislead with information saying that my refund would go to my mortgage company.. so i waited with several calls and e-mails when  my mortgage company after 2 months never received the refunded check after my calls  i talked to a lady by the name of Donna Gonzalez and she says that she canot help me even if they mislead me with improper information..... Now my Morgage is sky high and my x-wife gets away from forging my signature on the check, because they did not do there job correct and did not help a 6 year customer

Go to myfloridacfo.com and click on Consumer Assistance and file a complaint (be brief) electronically and the DFS will assign a claim number to you. They will investigate for you. There are many regulations concerning your plight. The DFS governs control over both the insurance agents, claims protocols, and financial institutions handling of these matters.

Your case may be a legal one wherein your wife was on the policy and your name was not, she therefore would have the insurable interest and you would not, even though you may have been decreed the property in a divorce settlement. Assume your insurance payment was made thru escrow with your mortgage wherein the refund would go back to the mortgage co.  Who actually makes the premium payments is irrelevant.

Just guessing at your facts. Let the State unravel your questions, thats why they are there at the tax payer expense.

Personally for me, Tower Hill is one of the worst carriers to deal with in the State most recently going south, they are ran by rogue vendors and practice a well known tactic called delay- deny -defend. Very anti consumerism at its best over the past 12 months.
