Complaint Review: Towncare Dental

This Towncare Dental practice in Clermont is a SCAM! They are exploting consumers & defrauding the general public!

LIARS!   >>>   SCAMMERS!    >>>   FRAUDSTERS! 

They should be wearing ski masks! They bait & switch you getting you in the door but in reality they hand you a $6,100 bill - 4 hours later.

Heres my story:

First they tell you to sign up with up with this "DentRite Discount plan" aka "Medimpact Healthcare systems" which is another BIG SCAM! You sign up & pay an enrollment fee & then you are supposed to get huge discounts as they advertise up to 70% which is where the fraud comes in. You arrive at the dentist office & 4 hours later of me asking how much the cleaning would be & 1 cavity to be filled, they only discount the bill 20% but jack up the prices so high to offset the measely 20% discount they are giving you in the 1st place. Then they wont even do the cleaning which was supposed to be $30. They all of a sudden say that I need a deep cleaning which would cost over $1100 which was a BIG lie to extract more money from good hard working people. I had just been to the dentist a year ago & the previous dentist never mentioned anything about a deep cleaning or me having any kind of plaque under my gums. 

I then told the Dentist, I simply wanted what I came in for & that was the $30 cleaning as advertised & confirmed with 2 different receptionists that verified the same thing when I booked the Appt. The Dentist then said it was against the law to give me what I wanted as that was downgrading to what they were recommending. My gums are not inflamed or infected. I have always been to the dentist every 6 months to a year from when I was a little kid, now 46 years old. They told the same exact thing to my girlfriend who is only 30 years old. No $30 cleaning, you need an $1100 deep cleaning. It's a bunch of BULLS* to line their pockets! Thats alot of money for 2 people who do not have insurance. What Fraudsters!!

They waited 4 hours to tell me this & hand me a $6100 bill full of a bunch of other crap I did not need. After I left the Dentist office, I decided to go visit another dental office down the street & they confirmed my gums were not inflamed or infected & I could get my cleaning done without a problem.

I lost the entire day of me not working dealing with their misleading SCAM fraudalent practices. I just wanted the general public to know of this dental offices practices how they lislead you-Bait & switch you to get you in the door, then try & upsell you under false pretenses.

They are a SCAM operation & I will not stop until they are shut down. I am going to post my story all over the internet on as many websites as I can & report them to as many regulatory agencies as I can including the Florida Dental Association in Tallahassee along with the Dental Board so they do not take advantage of other good hard working people.
