toyota automotive loss of trade in value on new 2011 rav4 Scottsboro, Alabama
Hi I took my 2011 toyota rav4 in for a trade in. I was going to buy a better gas mileage car. They told me that my rav4 is now worth $13,000.00 less then when I bought it in 2011. I still owe $24,500.00. It is very good condition and only 15k miles.
How does a car loose that much in value in one year? I called the main company and they said they had no idea why. They should do a recall on these vehicles or at least let someone trade to get out from under it. This is a total ripoff and tell all your friends that have a rav4 or are going to buy one to check the kkb for the real value. I will never be able to sell this suv. I am 100% disabled and a veteran, and this will ruin my chances for ever buying a new vehicle. thanks for listening and spread the word. This information should be on every toyota web site.

All new and used Toyota vehicles are 'depreciating assets'. So are the vehicles made by other Japanese manufacturers. Vehicles made by Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler are also 'depreciating assets'.
Nobody really needs a new, or newer, vehicle that costs over $25,000.00, but most Americans have become brainwashed by what they see and here on TV. You might want to do some research on the Toyota brand of vehicles.

What a novel idea, when an owner wants out from under his obligation on a vehicle, the mfr should issue a recall on it...NEVER heard that one before. What reason would there be for the "recall?"
Also, what does being a 100% disabled veteran have to do with this?
Should YOU get special treatment because YOU decided you no longer want the vehicle YOU bought?
