1998 dishonesty and ripped off dishonest ripoffs .....

To whom it may concern:

hi, i was brousing on my computer and looking at car dealers and i happen to brouse on toyota of san bernardino, and i've read about the companies complaint history, actually i just want to share what happen to me and my husband...in 1998 we leased a 1998 toyota tacoma...the sales person who was dealing with us was derek,(forgot his last name)but my husband said it was parson and at that time he was the fleet manager and now i believed he was promoted...the salesperson involved was informed by my husband that he drives long distance to go to work...and yes we decided to leased the vehicle and we took it home...

the next day we went back to dealer to return the said vehicle because we realized and figured that we can't afford the monthly payments and plus the long distance drive my husband was worried about the mileage that would accumulate because we are going to leased it for 3 years...but when we tried to talk to derek and to the manager his name is jack...they flatly refused to take the vehicle back for their reason that once the vehicle is taken out from the parking lot it's value have depreciated when we took it home for the night and we were told that there's nothing that they can do about it...so we were forced to take it home cuz we're just being naive about really what is what when you are buying a vehicle...

and knowing the consequences ahead of us regarding the mileage but with the hope that we are buying the vehicle after the end of the lease. before the end of the lease we went back to the dealer with the excitement that we are going to buy the vehicle from them with no other hassles of putting a downpayment since we have leased the truck....but we got our surprise when we went back to negotiate in buying it ...

they told us that they only thing they could do is for us to put a $3000.00 downpayment for us to be able to buy the vehicle...see that i really didn't understand why would we have to put that much down payment with the understanding that we have and thingking that we have the option to buy the vehicle cuz that's what the contract says....but we can't afford the $3000.00 downpayment and we offered them a $1500.00 downpayment but to no avail they flatly refused it... they were so inconsiderate and nonnegotiable cuz we didn't really mind paying part of the accumulated mileage...

there's nothing anymore that we could do about it but to turn in the vehicle at the end of the leased...and that was the start of the fight...i could honestly say that bluntly ripped us off knowing that could get more money when they get to sell the vehicle and more money from us to pay from the accumulated mileage...when we are trying to negotiate with them to pay some of it cuz we feel that we don't have to pay the whole thing since that have sold the vehicle but there's no negotiation at all infact they send the case to a credit collection agency how many times and that ruined our credit too but when the credit agency called us we told them about the situation and what really happen and they said they are going to send it back to the dealer to dispute it and they did...

but to no avail they were still unnegotiable and told us it not their jurisdiction but it is of the toyota motor credit...i'm writing this letter to let the consumers know that toyota of sanbernadino is being dishonest in their dealings with their customers and honestly i am not going back to them and i am not going to recommend them to anybody after what we have experience...honestly we are NOT trying to run away from what we owe cuz we tried to negotiate with them and plus we're both real born again christians knowing that there's a GOD that we fear cuz GOD KNOWS REALLY WHAT THE INTENT OF OUR HEART and we both could honestly say that we tried to negotiate with them but they were trying to play games with us...thanks for the opportunity you've given to report this and as i have said i am not after any compensation on this...GOD ONLY KNOWS...
