Hello Marin County community. We are writing this to provide fair warning that Toyota Marin is a fraudulent and deceptive business. My wife brought her car in for service, this was the second visit to this dealership and the second unprofessional experience. On both occasions, the car obtained body damage caused by the employees of Toyota Marin. As well, on the second visit, we were quoted $5000.00 for the repair of a fan blower motor.

The part was quoted at $1000.00 and labor $4000.00. My wife decided that she would investigate the cost of the part and the labor required to repair the motor blower. Upon her research, the part cost is actually $100.00. With this knowledge, my wife decided that she would take apart the existing fan motor to determine if in fact the part needed to be replaced. Upon testing the part, we determined that the part was not in fact defective and only needed to be cleaned.

Once we replaced the existing motor and confirmed that it was fully operational, we called Toyota Marin to inquire as to why they quoted $5000.00 to complete this repair. Of course, both Cam (Service Manager) and Erwin (Service Advisor) had no credible explanation for their fraudulent business practices. This organization has no ethics and they have proven this on two separate occasions.

Clearly, the ownership of Marin Toyota are unethical business people and their business practices reflect in the actions and practices of their employees. I highly recommend taking your business to San Francisco Toyota. They are professional, honest and ethical people that understand what honesty and credibility mean to their customers.

 You mentioned this was the SECOND TIME you had a problem with the alleged "service department” of this dealership. Since they have an established history of screwing you over, why go back??? The fraud and deception which is extant on the sales floor and finance office of the average Sleazy American Car Dealership has now flown into the shop like raw sewage on a downhill street.

What you now get is price gouging, poor customer service and fake mechanics who are nothing more than parts changers. Ask around and find a good INDEPENDENT SHOP with a good reputation and get your service work done there! Such a shop will not be Walmart or a price gouging chain like Pep Boys. There is NEVER any excuse to be playing the role of doormat, sucker or chump for ANY car dealer.

The reputation of this stinking segment of retail has been very well established by the slime balls who populate it! You do t need to be treated like garbage with their schemes and deceptions.
