I traded my 2004 Highlander in on 4/21/2011 and finance a 2008 RAV 4 signed the contract and drove off with the new vehicle. The dealership provided me with a 30 temporary registration. I had to call the dealer at least twice a week from the time of signing the contract to 5/20/2011. If it weren't for me calling them I would never have been notified that a second contract had to be signed because the first contract according to the dealer over booked the RAV 4. Apparently over booked in dealership terms means they listed your vehicle as having navigation, leather seats, sun roof. Needless to say the bank would not secure funds on that particular vehicle and that was not the one I was sold. I was sold a Basic RAV 4 so they have to revise the contract a second time to fit the vehicle I now have been driving for 29 days.

The dealership would not extend another 30 temp since mine ran out on 5/21/2011 even though DMV in Trenton provide me with a law that clearly states a dealer can issue a secondary. When I showed this document to the dealership they laughed at me and said DMV will tell you anything. So now I had to file a complaint with Motor Vechicle, the little falls police department, consumer affairs. As of today I am being forced to drive a loaner car because the dealer claims the paperwork for the loan was not processed correctly on their end, Nobody at the dealership can even tell me when this will be finalized. The ironic part of this drama is the dealership paid my note off on my highlander and at his point my only leverage is the RAV 4 I am parking because it's not leagal to drive. Anbody out that look for a vehicle do not go to Toyota Universe on route 46 in Little Falls NJ. Go on line to consumer affairs and see how many hit's are on this dealership.

DONNA, EXPOSING THE DEALERSHIP IS YOUR BEST WAY TO GET BACK AT THEM! IF YOU STAY AT THIS SITE AND TYPE IN 269041 YOU CAN READ 'CONSUMER COMMENT #3'.......

where the following quote appears: "A Harvard Business Professor said that EXPOSURE is a corporation's WORST FEAR!" - 8/21/2007.

Fact: 'Consumer Comment #3' at Ripoff Report #269041 was posted on August 21, 2007, which was 14 months BEFORE the collapse of the banking system and the stock market crash, which occurred in September of 2008. The Dow Jones lost a record 777 points in one full day of trading on September 29, 2008.

Take a look at the last thing stated in 'Consumer Comment #3' on August 21, 2007. It came true, didn't it?

Make sure to 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- CONSUMER ALERT, and watch that Dateline NBC undercover video on the web when you have time, okay?

Many of the managers and finance managers at car dealerships are trained to "break-down" the customers, and they also train many of the salespeople to "break-down" customers too. It's just the way in which many employees in the car business believe that vehicles should be sold.

The customers that are typically targeted are the elderly, Hispanics, and African Americans, as well as women.

Contact ALL of your Local News stations in your city and maybe one of the Investigative Reporters will be able to do a story on T.V. which will alert others in your town about how cars are sold at this dealership, okay?

Good luck to you, and keep us posted.

DONNA, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE DEALERSHIP "OVER BOOKED" THE RAV4 TO DEFRAUD THE BANK.......

in order to secure financing for your loan.

Since the RAV4 that you purchased was used, then a 'Used Car Sheet', which is like an invoice for a new vehicle, will be submitted to the bank so the bank knows what type of a RAV4 it is financing. It is very possible that someone at the Toyota dealership provided the bank with false information, on purpose, in order to get the loan approved.

You can contact ALL of your Local T.V. stations in your city and get in touch with their Investigative Reporters. Maybe someone will do a story on T.V. about what happened to you.

Make sure to stay at this site and type in 505850 and read Tanya's Ripoff Report. (It's Ripoff Report #505850.) I believe that someone recently posted a consumer comment under Tanya's Ripoff Report about a well-known car dealership that forged someone's name on contracts for a car loan. There's information in that consumer comment that will direct you where to go to watch the story that was on a Local T.V. station in Denver, Colorado, about a week ago.

Good luck to you!
