I got a call from a person who sounded liked they knew the CFO of the company. They were an office supply company in Newport Beach, CA, and said that they were moving their offices to Arizona, and had to sell their stuff before they moved.

The sales person was very personable and glib. She talked in gross quantities, which made it very confusing. Bottom line, she tricks you into buying huge quantities because of the confusion of gross (dozen). She does not tell you the total dollar amount.

I was shocked to see 9 boxes arrive. It was a huge amount of stuff. The invoice did not come for quite awhile, which I think is planned. The vendor wants you to start using some of it, so that you can't return it. For instance if there is a gross of pens, (12 boxes of a dozen pens), if you use one box, you can't return the gross of pens. So I went to a local store and bought replacements of what I used, so I could return all of the gross quantities.

When I got the invoice, I was shocked!!
I called to complain, and Patricia Nelson starts to argue with you. Then she offers the stuff for half. I said no. So after arguing more, she agree to take it back.
