*NOTICE..!! this ripoff has nothing to do with Google search engine - many rip-off businesses use the Google name to fool consumers.

===========================================

On October 13, 2009 I received an e-mail advertising a work at home business where you were promised you could make money with Google.  For $1.97 I was to receive a CD explaining how to start my Google business. I ordered this CD, hoping I had found a legitimate business that a retired widow with a limited income could employ to supplement my meager Social Security check. I also spoke to a woman on the phone that supposedly represented this company.  She tried to convince me to authorize a reoccurring charge on my credit card for some sort of consumer protection or insurance plan.  I am not exactly sure what it was because I told her in no uncertain terms that I only wanted the advertised $1.97CD and NO OTHER charges were to be applied to my card.  She assure me that there WOULD NOT be any further charges; only the $1.97 for the cost of the CD

A short time later I received my CD.  After taking a quick glance at it I knew it was not for me.  I sat it aside and forgot about it.  A couple days ago as I was checking my credit card account I found the following unauthorized charges:

                    11/11           TEAM GOOGLE TRAINING 800-604-9306         47.50

                    11/22           TQG*onlinebizkit                                                  99.00

I immediately notified my credit card company that these charges were not authorized. They suggested I call the numbers associated with the charges. After a calling a couple of numbers that had been given to me only to find that no one knew anything about this company, then getting hung up on twice at another number, I called Chase again.

Yesterday I received a call from Lucinda at Chase Amazon Visa.  She said she was able to void the charge for the $47.50, but told me that the $99.00 was non-refundable. She gave me this phone number:  1-800-497-4988 to call.  I called the number and after being on hold for several minutes a representative that gave her name as Dinky, came on the line. Although she spoke broken English and I could barely understand her, I explained the situation to her the best that I could.  She was no help what so ever.  I asked to speak to a supervisor.  After being put on hold again, she came back and informed me the supervisor was unable to come to the phone.  She was on another line.  This scenario was repeated at least a half dozen times.  Dinky finally came back on and said all supervisors were in a meeting.  I asked which was it. Was a supervisor on the phone or were all the supervisors in a meeting.  One of these statements must be a lie.  I told her that I would like a supervisor to phone me when ever one of them was off the phone or out of the meeting.  She said they didnt have the facilities to return phone calls.  Last time I checked phones worked both ways.  After twenty-two minutes of wasted time and getting more and more frustrated by the moment, I hung up.

If anyone can find out more about what sort of scam this business  -  TEAM GOOGLE TRAINING is running and help me get my much needed $99 back, I would greatly appreciate it.  If this is not a possibility; at least it may serve as a warning to other unsuspecting senior citizens trying to earn a little extra cash.
