I was on the internet and saw a really flasshy ad for transmission repair. I called the number and this guy named James answered the call, and was convincing, and talked me into getting my car towed to Edision NJ to get my transmission repaired. He said his shop name was Discount Transmissions. It was actually a shop in NJ who knows the owner. I do not want to mention that shops name because they were very helpful in making sure I got back my car.
So for 2 weeks I called this guy James and day after day I kept getting the runaround on why my car was taking so long to be fixed.....when actually it was just sitting in a lot. I know this because I had my friend call their number a week later and he answered and said he had plenty of room for new business. Big Lie !!!!
Finally after 2 weeks he called to tell me about this new price. On our first conversation he said it was going to be around $ 1500.00 with everything. BY the way my car is an 06 Chevy Impala. On this phone call 2 weeks later he told me it would be $ 2562.90. Big difference. And originally he said he could get me financing but on this call he said I would have to go to his Jersey Shop and apply. This shop is over 50 miles away. I told him I had trouble getting around and would have trouble getting there. I said forget it and would just have my son pick up and bring it elsewhere to be fixed. I was at this point so aggravated by all the nonsense and his lies to feel comfortable enough to even fix it. Would he do that ? Fix the transmission the way it should be done. ? i was not going to find out.
When I told him I was going to take my car elsewhere he started screaming and cursing vulgar obsceneties. And what a foul mouthed individual this man is. I was under the impression he was intoxicated. And the last few words were racial commnets that was appalled to have to hear. " take your car out of my shop you filthy n*#@%# !! Wow this guy really lost it. And he wanted to charge me $ 600.00 for the tow. A very bad individual.
At all costs stay away from him !! He is a very bad person. We noticed he uses othe rphone numbers. Must have been drunk when he called me back.
