Complaint Review: TracFone

TracFone does not credit all service time purchased to set Expiry Date, and does not even respond to Customer issues. Internet

Purchased a new TracFone that included 60 days of service and 10 minutes of time. Also purchased an additional 1 year of service and 150 minutes of time. Information with the cell phone indicated that the time purchased with the phone would be added on to any additional time purchased to set the service expiry date.

However, upon activation, TracFone just set the service expiry date to be the 1 year purchased, rather than 1 year and 60 days. All attempts to contact TracFone regarding this issue only go to an unintelligent automated response system. Therefore, we can't even get TracFone to address the issue for resolution.

The only thing that we get is an automated e-mail response, indicating that we can reply to the e-mail if the answer is not adequate. BUT the e-mail response address is invalid and gets returned as 'non-deliverable'.

Based on this experience, I do not recommend the purchase of a TracFone to anyone. Once you purchase the phone and any service at all, you are stricly on your own, as TracFone does not address any issues that a Customer may have.
