On 27 Dec 2004 I purchased two tracfones with additional 400 minute airtime cards at Radio Shack in Lake Worth, Texas.

That same day I accessed the Tracfone website to "activate" the phones since that was the company's preferred method. I began the process about 4 p.m. I quit trying about 10 p.m. because I was getting repeated instructions to "try again".

On 28 Dec 2004 I began to call Customer Service at 1-800-323-2366 as instructed via an email from the company dated 27 Dec 2004 7:24 p.m. Repeated calls all that day and into the night were either met with a "busy"signal or when I get an automated voice instructions I would be cut-off when it was apparent that the automated system would not work and a "live" customer service rep would be needed. In the meantime I sent several email to the company technical support asking for help but never, to this day (7 Jan 2005), have they replied.

On 29 Dec 2004 I finally gave up and at 12:27 I placed an order with Cingular for wireless service.

Somebody needs to sue these people for fraud and deception and all the companies who sell this product!
