Complaint Review: Trade Like Chuck

I signed the contract with them electronically. Two days later I faxed them a letter cancelling the contract. That was February first. Their cancellation paragraph states the customer has up to midnight of the seventh day to cancel.

Several days later I noticed they had charged my credit card the full amount. I faxed the letter to them again on day six. As I did not hear anything back from anyone I called them to find out the status. Their phone message said they were experiencing long delays so I left a message with my name and number.

Four days later I got a call back from them. The lady who called said I had the wrong number and transfered me to another lady. That lady said her name was Stacy and asked me the reason for my call. I explained what I had done regarding canceling the agreement. At that point the call was terminated. To date they have not attempted to contact me by either email or phone.

On February twelvth I sent them a letter, by registered mail, with return receipt requested. I received the receipt showing they received the letter on February 15th. In the letter I included copies of the letter sent February 1 and the fax transmittal verification. To date I have not received a written response or phone call from them. Neither have they refunded my tuition money.

The company has agreed to refund my fee in full. I should have the money back in my account in a day or so. Hope to put this behind us and be done with it.

This report generated two different call backs from the company. After several attempts to contact them, I actually spoke to a person. We played 20 questions while he tried to determine "what went wrong." After we talked for a while he said he would process the refund to my credit card. He did ask me to do a follow up message that they had satisfortily resolved my issue. I agreed to do that. An hour or so later I received a voice mail that he has sent me a contract to sign to process the refund. When I accessed my email I did have the message. Problem is that I cannot review the doc until I agree to their docusign contract. I am very worried that they are trying to pull another legal "HooDoo". I have left a voicemail for my contact and hope to resolve this issue. I'm curious as to why they can't just give me back my money.
