Based on TradeTangs advertisement under Musical instruments > Guitar, I located a merchant (wanglaoj117) advertising 2 American made electric guitars for sale that I was interested in. One, a vintage Mosrite 12 string, the other, a Rickenbacker 370-12 string.
With availability and authenticity "guaranteed", I placed an order for one of each.
Confirmation for my order was received and U.S. customs supposedly cleared the shipment (it was never opened for inspection folks - the package arrived intact. the only item "inspected" was the shipping label writen in broken English).
The shipment however, included 2 "Rickenbacker" counterfeit knock-offs in lieu of the Mosrite 12 string and RIC 370-12 without prior warning of the substitution being made.
TradeTang consumer protection is like the fox guarding the henhouse. The seller offered less than half the sale value as a refund provided I pay return shipping.
That's B.S.
This bait-and-switch tactic should be banned from availability in the U.S. and sanctions brought against TradeTang for blatent copyright infringement and fraud in their advertising.
I have submitted documents to, The Federal Trade Commission, the International Trade Commission, The Attorney general, just about everyone except the U.N.
E-mail me at (((ROR REDACTED))) for pictures of what was actually sent.
