Tradewinds Hoosier Tradewinds STILL Ripping off Drivers ! Arcadia, Indiana
Hoosier Tradewinds is one company to STAY AWAY FROM !
I leased my truck and trailer with them Jan.24th, 2012. My husband is my driver.
Over the next two weeks he delivered 4 loads, and properly submitted the required paperwork. Those 4 loads had a gross revenue of $4,869.71.
On the 13th day, while sitting empty in TX, waiting for a re-load, his Driver Manager Wes called him. Wes told him to find another company to drive for, and that Tradewinds was not set up to load step decks, and that his fuel cards had been turned off.
That left my husband AND my equipment almost 900 miles from home, and we had to come out of pocket for fuel $400.
To this date -- Hoosier Tradewinds has not paid ONE CENT of the $2,934.15 they owe us ! They did settlement sheets, but never paid us. I had an attorney write them a Demand letter, which they have ignored.
I contacted my Congressman and the Indiana Dept. of Labor. Now I'm contacting Indiana newspapers, hoping some of them will consider a corrupt Indiana company newsworthy.
My husband, who is a 24 year veteran of the USMC, served in 3 combat situations, is a recipient of two purple hearts, and is now battling lung cancer. HE deserves better than the treatment he has received from Hoosier Tradewinds.
No matter what it takes, I will fight their fraudulent business practices.

On May 17th, 2012, we received a check for the pay we were owed by Hoosier Tradewinds.
ALL it took was an attorney, a complaint filed with the Federal Trade Commision, a complaint
filed with Indiana's Attorney General -- and complaints on three internet web sites.
So they don't owe us any money.
BUT my personal opinion is -- IF you want accurate , timely paychecks, that you can depend
on, STAY AWAY from this company.
