Complaint Review: Trafalgar Tours

Trafalgar Tours On July 20th I received an email from them indicating our motor coach tour scheduled to depart Boston Sept. 23 had been cancelled due to COVID-19. The trip was paid in full and travel insurance was purchased. We rescheduled the trip for September 22, 2021 but now they want an additional amount of $357.10. Anaheim California

As stated above, in good faith we booked and paid for an Autumn Color Motor Coach Tour of the East coast with Trafalgar Tours.  Due to COVID-19 we were notified July 20th all tours were being cancelled through November 2020.  I phoned Trafalgar to inquire about a refund due to them cancelling the tour and the fact we had purchased travel insurance..total cost per person $2538.75.  I was informed they don't refund in a case like this, they only supply a travel voucher and the insurance policy was effective prior to COVID-19 so even though it is a world wide deadly virus, neither of us have tested positive so we are exempt from the illness portion of the policy.

 They have had our money since February 2020 and being forced to rebook our tour for next September 2021 due to it filling up rapidly, we are losing a tremendous amount of interest which is not good for a senior citizen.  Also, if this isn't bad enough, they have indicated additional charges are $357.10 due due to the increase of tours for next year.  That should not be our problem, we are not the ones who cancelled.  Your advice would be greatly appreciated as I am sure there are a lot of people who are experiencing this with Trafalgar...
