Should I not waste my time? Scout cheated employees and screwed the customers even more .....

I went to an Interview today. They told me to start tomorrow. From what I've been reading I'm wasting my time?

I might go in tomorrow but I would like some more info on being a scout with company. It sounds like they don't even have the cash to pay me. What a bummer ! I thought I would be doing some great.

It sounds like I'll be ripping people off and I'll get ripped off also. Glad I found this site! Looks like some else was scammed from the same office I'm going to.

More info would help out. If I go tomorrow and then check back here, maybe the next day that I go to TCT you all could give me some questions to fire back at them.
Help me out on this one !

Company Background

#2Consumer Comment

Just like a company does a background check on those that apply for a position. You also need to do the same.

What I do when I am researching any company wanting to become a vendor or if I want to join them I first do a google.com search. Find out if they have a website and check it out thoroughly. I check other websites that the company name comes up.

Second, check Hoover.com or go to the library. It is a wonderful resource. Unlike Dun and Brad Street they check the company out and only report what they can verify. Dun and Bradstreet will not double check on private companies.

You can check Dun and Brad to see if the company is paying its bills on time. In this they are accurate.

Check the State's Attorney Generals Office to see if there has been any fraud compliants.

Check you local newspaper to see if they have any articles on them.

Check the Chamber of Commerce.

Finally, ask the company for references. Banks, Vendors, and a few clients to see what they may say.

Good luck
