I am a former employee of TCT and I was extremely shocked to read and find out a little more after 2 talents parents emailed with things they had found out.

After reading almost all of the most recent complaints about this company it made it even more clear that this company is using peoples names and status to gain nothing more than money.

I will say after working with the company for almost 3 months and scouting for 8 weeks, I realized that alot of the problem has to do with indivduals not really caring about their positions, their jobs, or anyone that truly wants to be a part of this industry. I really don't think Lou Pearlman would appreciate his name being associated with people that lie and deceive people. I have been in this industry for a very long time and the fact that I was an employee saw scouts coming in week after week thinking they were going to receive the base salary of $600 was a joke. When they realize it's not going to happen they leave and a new crew is brought in. The positions they tell you that supposedly exist in the office of only 2 people DO NOT EXIST.

To the franchise owners I will say that you should care about where you money is going and how you can make your investment back. (HINT:TALENTS ACTUALLY WORKING FOR MONEY)

To the people that are allowing them to use there names and they do not do business with this company, it hurts you as well. IRENE MARIE - Sr. Booker Suzy, JOHN DALY, MARTIN LANDAU, MICHAEL GREER CASTING - Pamela Frazier, and WILHIMENA/FORD NY, MIAMI, none of these people have done business with TCT. Call them and ask them and ask for proof, I di and was told they would not dare associate themselves with EMODELS
To you new scouts if you are looking to sell someone a pipe dream then continue to work for nothing, and be used. If you do not know anything about this Industry and what is involved DO NOT ACCEPT THE POSITION. It will not pay your bills. They hire anyone with STRONG SALES BACKGROUND THAT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS INDUSTRY!!!!!!!!! You can also become a Senior Scout in 2 weeks, and make a video and have it sent to Corporate for positions that don't exist in any office in all 60 cities.

I was used and promised positions that don't exist and money that will never come. I was insulted on numerous occasions. If someone in corporate is reading this remember the people you put in charge of an office. If you see a problem you should fix it and you should talk to the people a little more. Why do you constantly have to hire scouts??????? Because when they realize the truth they leave. For all employees that read this and new scouts that have had your one week training. Call the Dept of Professional Rugulation in your state the more complaints the better the results. They will have to answer to the complaints or CLOSE THE DOORS.

Anyone who has attended an OPEN CALL can see that the OFFICE LOOKS like they will be there today and gone tomorrow.

To talents who have enrolled follow up ask questions or deactivate you wasted money. Call Dept. of Prof. Reg. to get your money back

My eyes are open and have been for awhile but I thought I could make a differnce and have talents achieve there goal to become succesful. I have lost time, energy, money and a job that was paying my bills originally until I was told that if I get just 5 more enrollments I would get my base. I did that and I never got the base. The base doesn't exist and if someone managed to get it. I'm sure they ended up being an OFFICE DIRECTOR,or probably only received it once.

You are an Independent Contractor check the Department of Labor on the laws for that in the State of Florida. I've watched alot of people bust there butts for no pay at all.

For all you people that right things on the site and report incidences then if you really want someone to do something then contact and complain to the DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL REGULATION IN YOUR STATE and find out the laws behind people involved in the modeling/talent industry. Why do you think they always say WE ARE NOT AN AGENCY WE ARE A SCOUTING COMPANY. Sounds to me like they are walking a very fine Line. To all you people that I scouted and convinced you to enroll I apologize deactivate yourself and report them to Dept. Of Prof. Reg. and get your money back quickly. I do believe that there is alot of un-tapped Talent out there that can survive and make it within the Industry. But you need to do it the old Fashion Way . To all the legitimate agencies use the concept and idea to your advantage. There obviously isn't a patent on it.

They all think that these complaints are just from DISGRUNTLED EMPLOYEES WHO COULD NOT CUT IT. Well I could cut it until I realized that they can never give you a point blank answer only things they have been trained to say, and they can't pay for any of your time, effort, and hard work. But they are willing to argue with you as a potential talent to make you give them the money and then just forget about you. Do you think that guys out scouting for Athletes just scout them and get them set up and forget about them ?????? NO THEY DON'T.

Don't give in to the ad on Monster.com and don't give in to the bull they feed you, and don't think it's a dream job. You have to know certain things about this industry, and have the Franchise Owners that own these places and the people running them don't know anything but what they are told. PLEAS BE CAREFUL AND MOVE ON. HELP CLOSE THE DOORS ON THIS PLACE ALL OF THem. You have already lost out on your money, time energy, don't let someone make the same mistake. Mixed with truth James ..When you start lying to people and giving them false hope under the guise of being an "expert" that you are in danger of being a rip off artist.

This is in response to James.

James, the question isn't whether they are a scouting company or agency. It's a debate against corrupt companies.

It's okay to love money. That's not a question either. It's a question of how far you are willing to go to get it.

When you start lying to people and giving them false hope under the guise of being an "expert" that you are in danger of being a rip off artist. That's what this company does. Anyone who has scouted or have been to "open calls" can tell you... This companies tactics are designed for one thing only. Get money. They don't care about most of the talent or the scouts that recruit the talent. There are a select few they do care about, and those are the poster children for their company to show how "great" it is.

They go by quantity not quality, as they would have you believe. The people that call on the phone and interview you in house, tell EVERYONE they look great. They use the saying "flatery will get you everywhere" to dupe people that don't know any better to give them money. Period.

As for the IP address. Those can be spoofed. You should know better, since you are using it to prove a point.

As for suing everyone, just the ones that are conspiring. Monster.com has know for a while and have received multiple complaints. They know. And they do nothing. They turn a blind eye for money and hurt people. That is a problem.

Start caring for and doing for people; you will make your money. Trust me. You don't have to be a fraud to line your pockets.

And actually, they hire anybody. I had no sales and no knowledge of the industry. They knew that when they hired me. I'm a computer science graduate. They hire anybody.

first, a few comments:

1) pam frazier, michael greer casting and john daly, the producer of terminator and last emperor and other films were ALL IN ATTENDANCE IN CANCUN at tct's model search. so you are an imbecile if you say they 'claim' not to be affiliated. you are LYING. Daly's company rents space from TCT in their LA office- HE SHARES AN OFFICE WITH THEM MORON!! I think it would be hard to say he would "never associate" with tct when he shares an office.- their pictures were all over the tct website for a month after the cancun trip

2) agencies, by legal definition (get a subscription to westlaw) book or place talent for a fee, usually a commission. since TCT does not make a penny when talent get booked or signed to an agent, they are not an agency. case closed. hence the reason they say "we are not an agency" they don't book jobs or get fees for booking or placement.

3) as for suing monster.com you better also sue every tv station and every newspaper in the country because they have all run ads for Primerica, Bernard haldane associates, tct, and tons of other companies you guys label as "scams."

gee, why don't we sue Inc and Fortune magazine for running worldcom and enron ads you dummies- after all they are are 100% proven frauds, convicted of crimes, unlike these other companies- so by advertising them these magazines helped promote the fraud, right.

oh brother. keep fighting windmills,

love,
don quixote

MONSTER.COM STOP ADVERTISING FOR TRANSCONTINENTAL , IT"S NOT A REAL JOB

#8UPDATE EX-employee responds

Fri, February 07, 2003

I am so ver glad that people are continuing to read this. I wish more people would try to get involved and contact the news stations i there local areas. But Frank Torelli seems to be on top of things thesed ays. I was very happy to hear his response.

I am concerned about htem advertising on Monster.com. Whatever you search you will get Transconztinental and if you fill out the questionairre you will get an email for the location nreaest you and there are several positions out there.

I tested and had my husband fill out the information and received an email to go to the orientation the following Tuesday. I don't think someone as reputable as Monster.com or Hotjobs.com should allow this company to advertise.

Anyone can search under maeketing /Administrative /Entertainment /Sales. They have seemed to list themselves under everything. Don't answer the ads its pointless.

I am still looking for a response as to if any labor laws have been violated for the time that was actually spent in the office working the open calls one to three days a week.
Thanks agian for your time and attention to this matter

TCTALENT SCAM involves MONSTER.COM

#8Consumer Comment

Fri, December 20, 2002

In response to your post Colby, i just wanted to say that i found TCT through Monster.com and after my fourth attempt to get an interview on a day i was available i finally managed to go in on what they call an "interview". what the woman basically covered was really nothing that the average person couldn't have found out by just doing a little research themselves.

I must admit that the money and percentage that you supposedly recieve as an employee sounded too good to be true and i guess it obvioulsy is. I was supposed to start my first day of training tommorrow 12/20/02 but with all that i read and with looking up TCT's record with the Better Business Bureau i must say that i am conviced that the company is most unsatisfactory and unethical as well as a scam!

My concern is why isn't anyone reporting this info to the news? this company needs to be exposed for the scams they are pulling on these innocent hopefulls. I will say that i am really curious as to what the company will teach me in training if i were to go in tommorrow. In closing i will say that im glad that a friend of mine lead me to this site to read what real people with real issues with this company had to say.

P.S. to whom this may concern: if you are a dishonest person as well as an unethical one and you like to rip people of their hard earned money than this is the job for you. and if you are a person such as myself just looking for a great job in the model/talent industry...Look elsewhere!
