Trans Relocation displayed whole credit card number and security code on a moving contract over the internet Ripoff Santa Clara California
When my family and I were relocationing from Va to Tx. I was looking for the easiest way to make this move. So I called Trans Relocation, to help me try to find the best deal.
This company quoted me the best quote and I thought to myself what a deal. So getting all the information from them I decide to make a reservation giving them my credit card number over the phone (which I am sure many people do). They were going to email me the contract. Which I received in email. After reviewing the papers (which was not even on a company letterhead) there was my whole credit card number including the security code!! It made me very nervous. At once I started looking online for any information I could find about this company, but didn't find anything.
No they didn't get the chance to rip me off but in this day and age was it really safe for them to do what they did? I don't think so. So at once I called them to cancel my reservation. They did but replied this is how they do business, not my business. I fill as they had no reguards for my personal information and in the wrong hands it could have cost me a lot of problems.
Be careful when you are dealing with things like this.
