After a one day training session, I started working for Trans Tech as a Merchant Sales Consultant. This is a 100% commission sales job that I was told should generate income of at least $55,000 a year.

Appointments with four clients would be made daily for me to present a full line of payment processing goods and services. The HR person stated I should close at least three sales each week. Further, we were assured in class that each appointment was made with a business owner who agreed to set aside time for the presentation and had a general interest in the product and service.

My first day of calls consisted me showing up at the merchant's door with them wondering who I was and what I was doing there. Some stated they told the telemarketer they are not interested, but the telemarketer insisted a sales representative drop by since "they were in the area anyway."

At every stop, I was requried to use the merchant's phone to contact my team leader. The team leader would try to sell the merchant even when I explained the situation. This was a strange arrangement, especially when I was sent to a residence to make the presentation. Most appointments took over an hour to drive to, and merchants were generally so disinterested, I was not allowed to do a presentation.

Team leaders often become frustrated with the Rep; the lack of sales results are seen as the Rep's fault, not poor client prospecting and qualifing by the telemarketer.

Do not take a Merchant Sales Consultant job. I spent all my time driving inner city streets to randomly selected merchants to attempt to make presentations they did not want to hear. I was required to purchase a polaroid camera and film, burn gas and waste two weeks of my time. I made two sales (the other reps in my class were not lucky enough to make a single sale), but doubt I will see a dime of the promised commission.

And as best I could tell, Trans Tech is a higher priced product with mutliple monthly and annual fees. Bad news all around.

Trans tech ripoff

#31General Comment

Fri, January 29, 2010

Transtech quotes a low procesing fee but slams you with other fees. Simply if Transtech service was so good you would not have to sign a three year contract and outrageous cancellation fees. Merchant Services, First Data Paymentech and other processors do not have these long term contracts. There is a reason for the fees and contracts and that is to trap and ripoff businesses. Your rate with the fees added are criminal.

Similiar story about misrepresentation with trans tech merchant group

#31Consumer Comment

Mon, January 12, 2009

My company was also ripped off by trans tech merchant group. The salesperson actually told me to do a lease but before my 30 day trial period was up, I was to call in and complain and because I did a lot of transactions the company would not want to loose my business and give me the equipment for free. She told me that she does this all the time. Before my trial period was up she would not return my calls and the team leader was not that much help also. After this went on for a couple days I threatened to contact my attorney for misrepresentation to the team leader and was told that he did not want to get into my personal business but he had been told by the salesperson, who is a woman, that I was upset because this meeting did not go farther than a professional level and I had made advances and other accusations toward the salesperson and that if I pursued this I would basically be looking at a sexual harrasement suit. Can you believe that!!!

I would like to speak with others who have succeeded in fighting and winning with TMG. to find out other steps needed to win. I have submitted a complaint to the BBB and also am filing a misrepresentation with the leasing company who just happened to have misrepresentation paperwork ready to be filled out on file.

please respond back to here for more info
thanks

Just don't know what to think

I have not utilized services from Transtech nor have I worked for them, but I almost did. Monday of this week I devoted my whole day to the 8 hour training and was feeling pretty enthusiastic about the opportunity. I have been in commision sales for nearly 6 years and have reaped the rewards of making some good money along the way. As of late, I had been experiencing the crunch of the economy and had been looking for a "Recession Proof Industry". I saw TMG's add on a website and applied. They immediately called me back and what I heard sounded good... A "Recession Proof Industry", pre-set "qualified" appointments, unlimited earnings potential, M-F 9-5, Industry leading company. I said what the heck, and sat through the day long training. At days end, the trainer assigned my team number and team leader and said I would be receiving a call from him by 5:30 that evening with my appointments for the next day. It is Wednesday and I still haven't received a call. I emailed my recruiter and haven't received any response. I just don't know what to think about this company. Through out the day of training I began research on the company. I know, a little late to be trying to figure out if a company is reputable or not. First of all I found this website in the search and second, my states Better Business Bureau does not reflect a good image for TMG or Summit or First American Payment Systems which are the same companies. For the past two years there has been 176 complaints reported. Not a business I would want to represent. I would suggest digging in to this/these companys before risking your business and personal reputation. I glad my "Team Leader" didn't call me. My current company has ZERO complaints! What was I thinking?

Good luck everbody

here's a healthy dose of the truth to help you.

the things you should really be aware of that have not been addressed in this thread between:

a) the obvious transtech employees who know that all of their competition BROADCASTS this website and it's numerous threads to as many merchants as possible and brag about how wonderful transtech is.
b) yourself and other 'victims' who are just trying to be heard
c) and the predatory, competitors, who all state. 'you should have gone with me'

flogging each other verbally to save face in an internet thread.

Here's what you need to really know:
1) The 'Merchant Pro 3' terminal is nothing more than a 'souped up' Hypercom T4100 Terminal (hypercom) or look on an auction website to find out the going rate for them. It's in the core, a decent terminal that's made well but they decorated it with their cover and branded it as the 'Merchant Pro 3'. It has a few features that save TT administrative overhead by 'dialing in' to TT to let them know what you need ...sort of like hitting the 'call button' on an airplaine to summon a flight attendant but other than that it's just a hunk of plastic. Because they have made this terminal a 'proprietary' terminal (meaning NO other processor can reprogram it ...just in case you ever wanted to change) and they have convinced their partner leasing companies that they possess more value they can lease these terminals for GROSS amounts of money. Also they have a subsidiary company called Summit...beware of them too.

2)The reason TT leases equipment, especially such a long and large one is that the sales rep makes a VERY large commission for convincing you to lease. probably by offering you no startup fees etc. They view you as a prospect as young, inexperienced and impressionable and will try to convinc you to sell to your families and friends and go to 3-4 appointments a day and call 'managers' or 'team leaders' which are basically sales closers to push your prospects into chosing today. And the industry standard is that you should make about $2500-$3000 comission on that sale.

If you aren't making THAT on a 60-month lease for $99.95 a month even after lease funding, you are the victim and the jokes on you! TT is making, after lease funding, $5200 before your commissions (minus the cost of the Merchant Pro 3 which is about $350. So you are getting played like sheep and you deserve it if you sign up) As a rep, is basically indemnified by the company. Also as the rep you make a small percentage of EACH TRANSACTION YOU RUN THROUGH THE TERMINAL! Every month! if it's not at LEAST 30% of the revenue you again are being robbed if you sign with them.

3) Beware of the word 'FREE'. it is not only a 4-letter 'F' word but NOTHING in life is free. You do not give away 'Free' anything as a sales rep do you? if they say free supplies, it's in the price, free support. oh it's in there, free replacement terminal..remember they have a warehouse full of their 'super secret proprietary terminals' back in their office in Texas!

4) TT will not honor their "verbal" 60-day "out" clause they will stall it. they will keep you in the dark and your clients will sink into financial ruin because you fed them to these people

5) I absolutely love TT! 65% of my business is unwinding their deals! and I'll have you know (hopefully it makes you feel better) I have run them out of my area. and my business is doing great! Everytime they hire a rep. the rep goes to the merchants and they are already aware of who TT is and how they handle business historically in my local area. Very rarely they find 1 merchant that my other local competitors and I didn't have time to educate. But it's no problems. There are a few loopholes in their 'airtight' contract and we exploit them as an industry. And we exploit them HARD! If you were the agent who would unknowingly and unfortunately sell one in my area...you would receive a "chargeback" in your commissons. For example you would sign someone up...in 2-3 weeks you may/may not be paid let's assume you get paid for this scenario. and 2 weeks later when me and my industry buddies found out (sometimes we wait until november so you get the chargeback around christmas and try to get you out of the industry by starving you over the holidays) transtech would inform you that all of your commissions would be owed back to TT for money they lost on the account you signed up. and remember...they have access to your checking account! and if you ever went back to that merchant, because of who you would be associated with, you would not be welcomed into the business. we make sure of it.

6) TT reps are the laughing stock of our industry which is just like any other industry. There's good and bad everywhere. I suggest asking a friend in business that is happy with their processor or company and get a referral next time and make sure you feel like you understand what is going on with YOUR MONEY and who you are partnering up with in your career. Think about it, some company that trained you on the phone from Texas is going to use YOUR reputation to spew their propoganda in YOUR neighborhood. do your research.

I expect the 'TT Sheep' will attempt to rebute my facts. However my statements are based on 5 years in this industry. A retention rate of 99.5%! And a portfolio of clients that they can only dream of having! And I assure you when a TT rep approaches any of my clients or clients even from competitors in my area...they are sent packing. TT trains their agents on the PHONE and exhausts them until they have sold all they can sell. (Or until they can never show their face in a business in their own hometown again)

Best of luck I hope this helps you understand what may happen if you sign with this company.

Be carefull with this company

Fri, February 01, 2008

I have advise anyone going to work for this company to ask hard questions. I just started for this company.

My first day in the field I get to the appointment the merchant says she didn't set an appointment when I introduced my self.

So I went back out and called my team leader. The asked to speak with the merchant so I went back in with my cell phone the merchant refused to talk to the team leader.

This job was at 9:30 by the time we got done messing around it was a 1/4 till 10. So my team leader gives me my next appointment for 10am. This seamed odd to me but ok.

He gave me my next merchant about 9 minutes away. I new the owner and the buisness I eat there on a regular basis. They open at 11am. So I am thinking ok cool meet me at 10 before they open and they get busy this could be good.

So I get there and there is no one around the place is locked up tight. Hmmm.

I get back on the phone with my team leader and I start grilling him on what in the hell is going on.

I ask him if these are hard set appointment and he says yes. This is a LIE

It is not possible they set a hard appointment for 10am when the had me with another merchant at 9:30 and a pitch takes 30-45 minutes with out writing a contract. There is no way this was a hard confirmed appointment.

So I start grilling him on this fact and how what he is saying doesn't make since. And is suspect of truth. He went into his speach about how busy merchants are and you just have to understand these merchants blaw blaw blaw. He starts talking really fast almost panic the more I push.

He slips up and states I QOUTE. "WE TELL THE MERCHANT YOU ARE STOPPING BY TODAY." end quote. I asked well a minute ago you just stated you are setting hard appointments. witch is it. HE HANGS UP ON ME.

They way they set up there appointments are bogus. They do not set hard appointments. They are setting up a cold call situation. In training they will tell you not to say you are here for your appointment. Well know I no why because they arn't setting appontments.

Know I will say this company does have an awsome training program and product and service. If I was still a store manager I would install this product with out question. And they have a good pay structure.

IF you are not worried about a cold call or enjoy cold calling then this would be a good company to go to work for. IF you are like me who likes to have set appointments then I do not recomend this company.

I will not tell you not to work for them just make sure you know what you are getting into. If there system doesn't work for you then you are only out 1 day training and a few days of lead running.

Good luck

Mike

How is TT a ripoff and who are the top three merchant providers?

#31Consumer Comment

Mon, January 14, 2008

There are a few of you who mentioned that TT is a ripoff and there are better companies doing the same kind of work.

If you dont mind taking the time, how are they better?

What do they do so different?

What are the three top merchants?

One last question, here recently the add I saw said 3000 sign up bonus...anyone know anything about this??

Personally Im looking for a new line of work and what I saw of transtech looked great but going on calls where the person had no idea I was even coming sounded pretty shady.

Transtech is the best Merchant Service Provider despite appointment-setting

#31UPDATE Employee

Wed, December 05, 2007

To any business owners out there reading this page:

I have worked for Transtech for 4 months. Before I became a Transtech consultant, I researched all the merchant service providers I could on the aspects of what they provide the merchants. What I found is that Transtech offers so much more to both merchants and consultants:

(1) First off, Transtech will beat any rate out there, period. And when I say that, you have to look at all the charges together to compare apples to apples: Qualified rate, mid-qualified, non-qualified, pin-based (0%), transaction fees, monthly fees, etc. But more importantly:
(2) Transtech offers free advertising on your receipts.
(3) FREE supplies for LIFE... your receipt tape, imprinter paper, knucklebusters, etc.
(4) FREE equipment maintenance for life, If your terminal breaks, you get a new one in 24 hours.
(5) A 0% rate for all pin-based debit transactions. Save hundreds, if not thousands.
(6) Technologically superior, with the ability to accept smart cards, gift cards, and internet checkout.
(7) An exclusive processor with merchant-friendly functions to order your free supplies and other services at the touch of a button.
(8) No hidden fees like I've seen on so many other MSP's statements.
(9) 24/7 customer service.
(10) Transtech pays your cancellation fee up to $250.

Do your research. Transtech is the best merchant service provider in the country, or I wouldn't be working for them today.

For Sales Consultants:

(1) At first, I was miffed about all the "bad" appointments I went to... I rarely went to an appointment where the owner was expecting me. But remember, you're letting a $7/hour telemarketer you've never met set your appointments for you. If this bothers you, try setting your own appointments. You'll make an extra $50 just by self-generating the appointment, and you'll know it's real.

(2) Sales consultants, do your research. Most other MSP's give you about $50-$100 per sale. Transtech gives you three times that even without the application fee, even if it's a small business.

(3) Look at what's in it for the business owner: who else gives free supplies, free maintenance, and pays $250 of cancellation fees? Try selling for any MSP that doesn't pay off the cancellation fee. That merchant will be calling you back very angry when they see that cancellation fee from their old processor! They don't know any better. We have to educate them, and that's why Transtech is the best... our approach is to inform.

#31UPDATE EX-employee responds

I forgot about the whole "camera" fiasco... yes, they tell you, at least they told me, I needed to get a camera to take pics of each company I sold services too. After doing so and selling 10 services, including merchant pro 3's, etc. I kept asking Korrey my team leader on how to get my reimbursement for the camera, which, as stated to me was $30 for the camera and $10 for film. He claimed at first he had never heard of such a thing.. about a month later, after asking about it daily, he finally sent me a form to fill out. He then had claimed that I did in fact meet the requirements by selling over like 6 products/services. Which, they had until that point never mentioned a thing about any requirements other than buying the camera...

I worked for these turds for approx. a month. most of the 10 that i sold were self generated, as stated by the other posters, the transtech generated leads were ALL bunk. anywho, the next great thing i found out, as I continually questioned Korrey why my paychecks were smaller than I expected, he eventually hit me with the line that if I wanted to get paid the $95 application fee, then instead of having the customer give me a voided check, I would have to have them make the check to transtech for $95. Awesome! Information that would have been helpful on the 9 hour PHONE Training I had to endure.

anywho, I would recommend never doing any sort of business with transtech or working for them.

thank you.

I have been in the merchant services industry for seven years for a legimate (read-non Trans Tech) company.

I too, am a commission only independant contractor. My company has no lead program, (as a result, we are able to treat the merchant fairly, since we are not paying a bundle to generate leads. no $100 a month 60 month lease on a $600 piece of equipment, no annual fee, set-up fee, on-line fee, statement fee, mininum fee, activation fee, electrical cord fee, can i use your bathroom fee, and whatever else tt can dream up.)

We generate sales through cold calling and networking. And let me tell ya, when I walk into a place and he says tran tech is doing his processing, I smile and pull out the paperwork.

When you show a guy what the re-branded Nurit 8320 he's paying for is actually worth a tenth of what he's paying, and show him how trans tech is hitting with hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars a year in fees that have nothing to do with processing credit cards or gift cards or checks, and tell him the horror stories of trans tech customer service (and he knows this, cause he has had to deal with them). why, at that point you have a customer, and friend, for life.

My retention rate is 98.6 per cent. That is because we price our products fairly, take care of our customers, and resolve issues when they arise. My rough guess from knowing the industry, talking to merchants, and talking to trans tech employees, is that their three year retention rate is in the thirties.

For those folks reading these posts, thinking about this industry, I highly recomend it. It is fun, competitive, very rewarding finacially (if you are ethical and choose an ethical company), and you are truly helping small business men and women. But there are about three companies that give the whole industry a black eye, and trans tech is one them.

Best of luck.

I've been a commissioned salesman for more than 30 years. I make a VERY good living because I'm not afraid to work and I have learned how to handle objections. Like the other guy said to those of you who can't or won't do this kind of work, McDonald's is hiring. When you finish your shift there, you can go to your next job cuz I doubt you'll make enough flippin' burgers to pay the rent. As for me, Monday thru Friday from around 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and I'm done for the day and on Friday done for the week. I enjoy life. You'll get no sympathy from me.

Sales Just Isn't For All People...Sorry

I read all of your replies before doing the training & decided to give it a try none-the-less. I'm just removed from selling BMW's, and while the money was great, the hours were terrible.

So I've been in the field for two days with Trans Tech. They have sent me to 8 pre-set appointments 4 each day. I made a sale in each of my two first days (in fact I made a sale on my first appointment, my first day!). Several of the appointments either didn't have their statement or the decision maker wasn't there for some sort of reason, but they did express an interest in looking at the services next week when they could bring in their statement, or they did say to come back and gave me a better time to do so.

None of the appointments I went on didn't know I was coming in. in fact I asked and they all confirmed that they had spoken to Trans Tech and they were expecting me and that they had spoken to Trans Tech either the day before, or two days ago.

Look, sales isn't for everyone. But I will say this, if you can sell cars, this is easy money. negotiating with the merchant is no different than having a car buyer "in the box." But you must be a good closer to make this job work which is why I say it isn't for everyone. Oh, also, no appointment has been further than 20 miles from my front door.

On my second day, all my appointments were within 10 miles of my front door. Maybe I wont be able to continue this pace of closing 1 of 4 appointments, who knows, but so far it is way less hours than selling cars, way easier (if you're a good closer), and the discount rate, statement fees, annual fees and applications fees paid previously by the merchants were all above what Trans Tech was offering; for a closer, how easy is that?

Sorry to those of you who didn't have luck, but again, sales isn't for everyone. I worked with plenty of guys at BMW who couldn't sell jack, and we're talking BMW's. if you can't sell those and you can't sell this, then you probably shouldn't be in sales. Good luck all.

I do not work for transtech, but am considering it. I have considerable experience in sales with pre-set appointments in the home improvement industry and can tell you that prospects claiming they told the telemarketer not to send you is common and the prospect, not the company, is lying to you.

When I first started selling replacement windows about half the people I went to told me the same thing and it effected my sales. My manager told me how to handle it and my sales went up.
Later I worked for another company running the phone room. I was detirmined not to send those crappy appointments to the salesmen.
I confirmed every appointment with the prospect before it went to the salesman as an appointment.

I would say to them

1- You do understand this is an appointment at ___ p.m. and both you and your spouse are required to be there.

2- you do understand our representative will be giving you a breif presentation of our product with no obligation. He will not be simply dropping off information.

3- you do have an interest in our product either now or in the future

every appointment our salesmen went on the people said yes to all 3 questions.
Well guess what, about half of the time when the saleman got there the people said " I told them not to send you out here", or " the said you would just leave info"

I think what happens is the people talk to the phone room and get interested in the product so they set an appointment. By the time the salesman arrives they decide they dont want to hear it anymore so they blame it on the phone room.

Mcdonald's is Hiring

Jeez, I am a transtech agent. I don't sell everyone I talk to. The bottom line is either you want the sale or not. I am very honest in my approach and haven't found the processor I couldn't beat in either rates and fees or service, but usally both.

I do all my sales as cold calls. I like the self-generation bonus of 50 bucks just for sticking my hand out. If you don't have the stuff to go out and do business, if all you want to do is take orders--Mcdonald's is hiring.

personally I prefer a clean dress shirt and tie to those silly uniforms.

Nothing in life that is worthwhile is easy.

Trans Tech is a joke

Matt in Missouri is correct. I read his report before I attended the training session because the rebuttals convinced me that I could make it work. The exact same thing happened to me. I spent two days going to "Appointments" with people who did not know who I was or why I was there.

I actually got to talk to one person and his current provider was awesome, so good I recommended it to a family member. The Trans Tech telemarketers set up bootleg appointments and make you waste your time.

Then, you call your team leader and end up on hold for ten minutes until he gets through talking to the other 80 people he has to talk to that day. Really don't waste your time their services are over priced and that 25% success rate that they promote is about how many times a week you will actually get to talk to someone for more than 2 minutes. Then they tell you your crazy and show you how a real merchant account works.

Good luck to you all.

TT WEENIE?!

#31UPDATE Employee

Thu, November 16, 2006

I will begin by saying that I do not appreciate being called a "TransTech Weenie". As I said in my previous rebuttal, I've worked with TransTech for quite a while and made sure to review the contract as well as the costs and fee, before I began working. They have a very effective sales approach and train their MSC's to be very upfront about ALL of the costs associated with accepting credit cards in your business. In my experience, I have always seen the profit from accepting credit cards far surpass the expense of leasing or purchasing the credit card machine itself.

As for the monthy and yearly fee's associated with the service, they are minimal. A statement fee of $5.00 is more than half what I have seen most business owners paying, and if our statement fee is any higher we will either match or beat the fee. The annual fee is also minimal, and nothing more than what you pay with any other processor, and once again, if it were, we will match or beat it.

The monthly minimum is almost an absent charge. If your business cannot meet the monthly minimum of $25.00, then you most likely are not going to be in business much longer. The only additional fee's are if you were to cancel your service, much like your cell phone or any other service provider charges, or if you were to have an NSF charge, in which case your bank will charge you the same thing.

Our service is no different than any other service, in fact it is a much better option for your business. I would reccommend TransTech Merchant Group to any business owner and would be confident with my decision.

Those trans-tech weenies called me last year and then dropped by "to compare" rates with my current ACH company. It was the biggest line of crap I've heard in years. I've had my shop for 12 years now, so I just didn't fall off the turnip truck. They may be able to lower your rate by say one tenth of one percent but they will eat your lunch in fees. I have NEVER in my life seen so many fees. They just about had; daily, weekly monthly and yearly fees and we're not talking chump change. I think there was a $250 or $300 yearly "maintance" fee or whatever they called it. Added on to all the other fees. And that wasn't the worst part. Their speil was, my T7P wouldn't be able to take the new "smart" cards. I had to LEASE A NEW MACHINE FOR $66 PER MONTH FOR 60 MONTHS. $3,960.00 for a machine I could buy for $800 to $1000 outright. Then the TT weenie says "You won't have to pay for it, the IRS will". I guess their logic is that it's deductible so "it won't cost you a cent" as he put it. I asked to look at a copy of their contract. There was so fees added in that the TT weenie "forgot" to mention it wasn't even funny. The fees were buried on subsequent pages. There were fees I'd never heard of, in my 20+ years in business. It was amazing. So people if you think northern leasing and citi are bad, wait until trans-tech gets ahold of you. I pity the poor newbie, just trying to open a new business, that signs with these guys. Most new businesses fail. This is a sure way of going about. You're doomed from the start. As for you TT weenies, that won't last. You can only ripoff people for a while before it and the law catches up to you. But you can make some fast cash and bail.

The company is legit.

I have 3 areas to address.

1. Rates. I have been with Trans Tech for only 2 weeks but I have yet to walk into a merchants establishment and be unable to beat their current discount rate. Trans Tech (like ALL processors) has differant rates for differant customers depending on ticket size and volume. All businesses are differant.

2. The dreaded camera. I started out using my digital camera phone but within one day saw why they recommend a polaroid.

As in ALL commision jobs the faster the paperwork get's to the office...the faster you get paid. By using the instant cam I can process and mail (Fed Ex overnite paid for by Trans Tech) my reports before the 5pm FedEx deadline.

The company reimburses you for the camera anyway. So why not?

3. Leads. Trans Tech has given me great leads and not so great leads. About average for the industry. In 2 weeks I have made (take home) $2200 with these "horrible" leads.

In summary sales jobs are not for everyone...though this job is pretty simple. 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, weekends off. If you work on your own time and do sales you get a bonus. Pretty easy deal if your suited for sales.

Also.... you did not have to purchase a polaroid

#31UPDATE Employee

Also, you did not have to purchase a polaroid, and if you did, in the training class they told you they would reimburse you up to $35.00 for the cost of the film and camera. If you had a digital camera of some other way to take pictures such as a picture phone, those would work also. As for the driving an hour, I'm not sure about where yo live but you have the right to say you do not want to drive an hour to an appointment. They do not set appointments more than 25 miles away from your address. TransTechs rates and fees are some of the lowest rates I have come across. And their standard services are untouched by other processors. In my appointments I compare the merchants statement to ours after my presentation, sealing the deal with not only better service but a lower rate as well. Rarely have I every had to tell a merchant they are getting a lower rate with their current company, in one instance the merchant still agreed to go with our service for the standard features (warranty, autobacthing etc.) and because we were honest enough to say she did have a lower rate. Most merchants dont know what they are paying, and rather than take advantage of that and gain an enemy, educate them and gain a customer.

Working at TransTech takes skill, nobody said it was easy!

#31UPDATE Employee

Thu, March 16, 2006

I began working for TransTech in August of 2005 and have been with them ever since. I too went through that very same training day to learn effective selling techniques and go over the provided materials. I was cautioned it may be a "scam" and all sorts of worries from friends and family members. It sounded like a great opportunity to excell in the business/sales field while making a large sum of money as promised. After completing the training I was introduced over the phone to my team leader, Andrew, whom was very helpful in adding confidence to my presentations; as I am the youngest MSC they have employed and was the only female in my training class. The first week was the toughest week, and I had to stuggle to get the sales I did. After that it became nature to take control of the appointment and try my best to get around every objection they throw at you. The reason TransTech gives you Team Leaders is to put even more confidence in your sales skills, if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns, your team leader will and does listen. They also provide you with catchy ways to 'rebuttal' the merchants objections. As I know you were told in training, you only earn as much as you work for. If you dont go out and work for the sale, you probably are not going to get it. Also as they said before, 70% of the time, you are going to get a "No", or a "Not Interested"... You are supposed to take those and learn from it, 'okay, if I had presented it this way, would it have appealed better to the merchant'? It is those situations that better your salesmanship. As I said before I am very young, I did not have much sales experience, nor did I have a degree in anything like this. I am still going to school, and have enjoyed my job so much, I decided to change my major to sales/marketing. This is a job where you can go far, and make a lot of money doing it, as I have. So the appointments are not always the best, and sometimes you dont have any appointments at all, those are the days that you sit down work on your presentation, and Self Generate. Not only do you get a bonus for making your own sales, but you also dont have to worry about calling in from a self generated appointment. This is a job with great opportunities for advancement within the company. I only wish you would have given them a longer chance. This is a great job with unlimited earning potential as they say, if you work at it!

I would reccomend you try it again if you are able to, or if you havent given your two day notice yet. It gets better as you go on. And to anyone else who wanted to work for TransTech, you have nothing to lose, your gas is a tax write off, so are lunches and mileage. Its an excellent opportunity that not many people get the chance to take.
