Transmission Part Distribution, INC: THis company is a ripi off, and fraud i wish i would have seen this before spending 900.00! SAGINAW, Michigan
I too have been the victim of Jeff Madison, in fact one of his former employess was nice enough to send me this link to see the other victims of Jeff and his Wife Dawn. My first interactions with his company were off putting, first i was delivered the worng transmission, they gave me a line of s**t which i thought was my fault somehow in th end. Then i sent them back with my transmission to rebuild so i would have the correct one, it ended up taking almost a month to get the correct transmission and parts to go with it. Finally i got the transmission and put it in and was able to drive.
I asked prior to driving the car if i needed to break in the transmission and the gentlement that delivered it said it would be a good idea to take it easy for at least the first 500 or so mile, so i did. In fact even though this transmission was going in my 98 Trans Am convertable i never really got into it or tried to break it, i am a 35 year old man and have no ambition on breaking my hard earned toys. Anyway i drove it for approxamately 2600 miles which is really good comaperd to most of the other stories i have read on this site.
Either way it should last alot longer than 2600 miles in 3 months or less. It came with a 2 year warranty and i actually paid extra for the better shift kit to help make sure the transmission held up for a longer time. This was not the case though, and since it has gone out i have not been able to contact Jeff or anyone from his company, i left messages and sent emails only to find out i was communicating with a former employee. Needless to say he is who sent me here and told me about the terrible working conditions Jeff puts his workers through.
I only hope this report saves others from losing money to this guy so he can go out and buy a couple more houses. People like Jeff and his Wife Dawn are what is wrong with this country, if you can provide a good service to people for a fair price people will come, what Jeff does is make it a little cheaper so more people can afford it but not too cheap to send up any red flags. And then this a*****e hopes for people to just take it in the a*s, on the money they paid. It is probably a really good scam. It seems to be working well for him.
I live about 30 minutes from Jeff's Business and this weekend i will be dropping by to see him. Thanks to the user Steven from Perrysburg Ohio for adding his multiple addresses, so i make sure to find hiw lying a*s. I plan on waiting around for my refund until he pays or maybe i can just get a couple transmissions from his shop to cover my bills.
I paid for my transmission to be taken out 4 times now and replaced 3. I paid 100 for each removal and replacement so it totals 1600.00 i have into a 600 starting price transmission, i could have just paid a reputable and local transmission company for that price, thanks for nothing Jeff you a*****e!
And dont worry you will be seeing me Jeff, i have a transmission for you to fix buddy!

I actually opened a case with the FBI cyber crime division, and since have been in contact with Jeff, he was actually more than happy to talk after i mentioned the case file being open. I really dont know for sure if it was that or this blog spot. Whatever it was i am glad we were able to talk. I was given a different story after talking with him for a while, apparently and this is what he told me not what i know to be true, (The person who delivered my transmisision was a guy named Dennis, apparently this guy stole some transmissions and started his own business similiar to Jeff's and was selling junk or rebuilt transmissions to people using this compnaies name). I am not sure when this happened or if this is even true, what i do know is that i personally talked with Jeff and he assured me my transmission would be fixed for free, under the warranty that i purchased it.
Since that time i personnally delivered the transmission to his shop and was assured that it would be done in a week, there were a couple delays along the way and it ended up taking twice as long. I am not really upset that it took 2 weeks i was upset that i was promised a week. But i really dont care anymore about the delays, i personally just like to underpromise and over deliver, but that is me.
Anyway after i picked up my transmission it was too late to install it, so i am still unsure if it really works but i doubt they would put me off, 3 times to give me back a transmission that was never fixed. I am too trusting sometimes though and this is the problem i have faced since this whole thing started, i trust someone on thier word, and alot of people now days cannot be trusted just because they said it. I am not an old man but i guess i have old beliefs in that if someone says something you could take it as gold. But people are just not realible anymore.
I have faith that everyone will end up getting what they deserve in the end and either way if you live by your word or die by the stone you get what you deserve. If we could all just stop all the lying and live by our words we would be alot better off.
