I took some old home movies to Transphoto to have them transferred to DVD to preserve them. When the disc came back it was of such poor quality it could not be viewed. I called the company back and explained this to them and asked how such a poor piece of work could have been released. I was told they didn't watch it because that would require editing which would be an additional $500. That was never discussed at the initial visit.

I gave them the extra $500 and when it came back to me the second time after they supposedly edited it the product was worse. I sent their product to two independent film laboratories for an opinion on the quality. They both said it was extremely poor and like me they could not get it to play on about a dozen DVD players they tried to play it on. The disc skipped, froze, crashed and the audio was terrible. I presented Transphoto with these findings and they ignored me.

In the meantime I had one of the other companies that provided me with the opinion on Transphoto's work complete the job and they did a beautiful job for one third the cost of Transphoto. Transphoto did me wrong and will not refund my money.

The cost was almost $1100 and all but $250 was charged on three different credit cards. All three of the credit card companies agreed the quality was unacceptable and cancelled the charge on my card. However, I have no way of recovering the $250 because it was by check.
