Complaint Review: Transunion

Transunion Credit Reporting Bureau WILL NOT REMOVE BANKRUPTCY OFF MY REPORT AND WILL NOT RAISE MY CREDIT SCORE ABOVE 580!! Chester, Pennsylvania

I filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and it was discharged the same year. However despite all of the loans that I have paid back and despite all of the credit cards I have paid off, and kept open, my credit score WILL NOT RISE ABOVE 580! I called and spoke to Abu Ahmed about this about two years ago he said that he will investigate this. Nothing was done and I have paid many debts off since then. When my credit was pulled recently, it showed no credit history from 2006 to the present which makes it appear that I'm a bad credit risk! I've paid off three cars, college loans, many credit cards, and several small signature loans since 2006. My credit should be in the 700's at least! I'm reporting this bureau for unfair credit reporting and unethical business practices!

First, your bankruptcy being "discharged" just means it was made final and is being discharged from the court system.  It does not, however, mean it was discharged from your credit history and will continue to appear on all three agebcies for 10 years after the discharge date.

Second, the only things that will appear on your reports are what is reported by the lenders, so if they are not reporting anything then nothing will appear.  Are they showing up on Equifax and Experian?  If not then I would suspect your lenders are not reporting your loans.  In any case I would suggest contacting each lender and requesting that they report your loans to all three agencies.
