On October 9, 2011 I signed up for Transunion/TrueCredit credit monitoring. The first seven days are free and after that they will charge $12 per month. They claim that you can cancel during the free trial period and you will never be
billed.

I wasn't happy with the credit monitoring and so I decided to cancel while I was still within the free trial period. I looked all over that website for information on how to cancel the order. Usually you would find it under Account or Billing, but of course not - that would be too easy. After half an hour of searching I finally found some information after going into FAQ and then into Terms. Under termination it said a toll-free number is provided on the website for termination. I had not seen one yet! Finally I found it after going into Help and then into Contact Us and under Customer Service.

I called the number repeatedly and every time their system tried to transfer me to a department, it would disconnect the call. So now it seems I can't cancel. If they charge me I will file a BBB complaint.
