The sales reps showed up at my house at 9:00 pm asking if I wanted my carpets cleaned. I thought.. it was late, but why not. After they got here I learned they were selling Kirby Vacuum cleaners. I was really impressed by the product, but the salesmen were total unprofessional!! They told me the price of $2,000 and I told them to leave. They lowered their price and I thought it was a bargin, because I know kirby vacuum cleaners are the best. I explained to them that I only get an imcome monthly and I wouldn't have a deposit until 3 days. They assured me that they would NOT cash the check until the date on the check. I went to my bedroom to get my checkbook and they followed me to my bedroom.. (that should have been a red flag). I wrote them a check and I put the date on check of when it was to be cashed.. two days later I checked my bank account and they had cashed the check causing me to have overdraft fees. I called them and their response was that they don't take post dated checks, I explained to them that the sales reps assured me they would not cash the check. I did receive a partial refund, but I never received a refund for the fees caused by them!! I know it's wrong to write a post dated check, but the sales reps informed me they do it all the time and it would be o.k. so I "trusted them" (wrong idea)
