Travel Agent Network vacation package rip-off St Petersburg Florida
Shortly after i opened a bank account, i got a phone call from TAN (travel agent network). A very nice representative told me that because i opened a bank account that they were sending me 400 free air miles.
The lady stated they would be sending me a vacation package, and once i recieved it i had 7 days to read over the package and decide if i would like to stay a member. If i didn't then i could cancel my membership and i would not be billed the 149 for joining.
Well after 3 weeks i never recieved a package and i went to check my account balance and realized i was overdrawn. So I looked at all me purchases and saw that 149 was taken out for TAN. Well I called TAN and told them i never recieved the package and they had no right to take out the money yet.
Well the representative said that they had on file they sent out the package and i should have recieved it with plenty of time to cancel. She also said that they don't have it as being returned so i had to have recieved it.
So i told her i wanted it canceled and a complete refund including all overdrafts i aquired because of them. She stated she would refund the 149 but nothing else because there was no way i could prove i didn't recieve the package. So now my bank account is a negative 346.84 and im left to pay for it.
So i decided to do some investigating and there were other reports of the business doing the some thing to others even the bank had heard of them doing the same. I still have yet to see my refund!!!
