I insured my granddaughter's trip from TX to HI, June to Aug.'09, paid extra for the optional FULL medical insurance coverage.  After 2 medical visits & diagnostic lab services, plus prescription meds, I submitted bills on 8/26.  After numerous "collection calls' from the vendors, I began writing the Ins. co., finally threatening them with report to our State Insurance Commission.  Finally, in February 2010, they paid the Lab fee in full, and the prescription cost.  However, they paid, in late Feb., about 1/3rd of the Dr.'s fees.  After numerous emails, and inquiries by the Ins. Comm., they stated the Dr. had agreed to a "negotiated" fee less than the full charge.  The Dr. denied this, had had NO contact with the Co.  However, she was not willing to get further involved with a dishonest Co., and dropped her pursuit of the missing $$.


I will no longer use this co, obviously, and have advised travel agents of the problems with them.
