Went to TRAVELBRIDGE OF TEXAS listen to their sales pitch about becoming a travel agent. They tried to sell us a associate travel agent with pressure starting at $5600. then drop to $4600 then to $3600.(did not bite). We received a free mini vacation form MVI Marketing which included free air and hotel room. We had to send a $100.00 deposit. We received paper word on how to get our vacation. We then requested our vacation. Which was return in a short time talling us that it was unavailable. On 4/8/02 we requested our refund of $100.00, as of 6/21/02 nothing NO check, NO letter, NO phone call. On 6/21/02 I call and listen to a recording and left a message with Brian Cummings to return my call. On Monday 24 Jun 02 I will report the following companies MVI Marketing, Mini Vacations INC and Travelbridge of Texas to the Military JAG office, San Antonio, TX Better Business Bureau and the Tampa, FL. Better Business Bureau to report these Companies. I am also going to check with th US Postal Office to see if this could be a case of mail fraud. Jim San Antonio, Texas NOTE: Rip-off Report launched a complete investigation on this particular situation and found that Mini Vacations had no control over promises another company makes when marketing their vacation coupons. Even though Mini Vacations is not responsible for another company's actions, they have been giving FULL refunds to anyone who has contacted them, and has even given more than they should have in the name of good customer service Pease read the link below Click here to read how MVI Marketing /Mini Vacations Inc. CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Jim,

According to our records, you had requested a refund of your $100.00 deposit on April 18 and the request had been forwarded to our Accounting Department. After receiving your message last week, I arranged to have your refund sent out immediately, but first I requested that our Air & Land Department contact you to see if you would like to submit a new travel date. Apparently they were unable to reach you.

As I told on the phone today, a refund check for your $100.00 deposit (check #11071) has been sent out to you today. I apologize for the delay.
