Travelegia Inspectedinns.org BnBStar Recommendedinns.com Deceitful, unscrupulous, charging without authorization, actually providing nothing because it's a dummy web presense Washington, DC 20007 DC
All these companies are related and I suspect run online by just one indidvidual. BnBStar, Travelgegia, Reommmendedinns.com Inspectedinns.com. If you write to complain to Travelegia you get a response back from Elena at BnBstar! See below. I joined one of these last year for about 69 dollars to list my vacation rental accommodation. When I searched on line the website could not be found with my accommodation listing! BUT, if I went back to my initial signup, they nicely provided a link to their website. It is a phony website with no real presence at all!
Then they charged me another 59. dollars for one of their affiliated advertisers listed above. With no communication about that. I demanded a refund. It did not come through. I searched and searched for a way to change my account info (which you can on a legit web site) in order to change my auto renewl to manual or 'do not renew'. I could find no access to this feature. I wrote an email stating that I did not want to be renewed at the 1 yr. anniversary. They politley sent me back an email stating they would not renew my listing.
To: "Travelegia Member" <info@travelegia.com>Subject: cancel subscriptionI can't find any where to adjust the auto renewal for the listing for xxxxxxx. I am closing and I will not be available to see your email that you are scheduled to send this fall. I do not want to renew automatically while I am away.*************************************This message was delivered to 'info@travelegia.com'by www.travelegia.com/caFrom:

Subject: For Lottie : cancel subscriptionDear Lottie,Thank you for your email.Following your request we won’t renew your membership for “xxxxxxxx ”.Sincerely,Elena, Membership Directorelena@bnbstar.comWell, guess what? Renewal came through on my credit card anyway. I called my bank and claimed fraud and showed them the email confirmation. I cancelled my credit card. That was the only way to stop them. VISA refunded my money. To this date, I continue to receive numerous requests for free trial memberships etc to any and all of the above. Records indicate they scam off about $84,000 in income yearly for actually posing to provide a legitimate service and to take payments authorized or not. Wake up people, that's your advertising money they have!(PS: admin - I did not make the indentation in the paragraphs. Spell check also would have been nice. This was not really easy to complete, but I think it is worth complaining about. I am so surprised more peole haven't. )
