Booked a vacation package with Travelocity to Rio for October/2012.  After getting the confirmation back I discovered that it would take us 44 hours to get to Rio and 27 hours coming back.  I will be 57 years old by the time the trip rolls around; there is no way I would agree to fly 44 hours to anywhere.  My friend that is taking the trip with me is disabled, she cannot sit anywhere for 44 hours.  After calling and talking to Gary on 8/2/2012 @ 4:16pm he then referred me to someone named David @ 4:26pm and David assured me that the matter would be taken care of.  We just want our flight time changed because the flight times reflected is NOT what we wanted nor was it on the website.  We would be in Rio for a week; according to Travelocity we would leave on 10/20/2012 and get to Rio on 10/22/2012.  Who, in their right mind, would agree to take 2 days to get to Rio? The trip was cancelled and to my surprise, Travelocity wanted almost $2,000.00..., yes--$2,000.00 in fees to CANCEL the trip.  When the trip was booked, Travelocity charged over $332.00 in fees just to book the trip.  It costs $500.00 to cancel the trip on top of the $332.00 this company got from us.  I am filing a complaint with the FCC, the Consumer Affairs office in Washington, D.C. and the BBB because Travelocity has very SHADY business practices.  I will be contacting NBC, ABC and CBS and FOX national offices to expose this particular incident.  It's shameful to say that Travelocity would stoop so low as to "bait and switch" on the unassuming public.  How does the owner of this company sleep at night knowing that your agents are "trained" to steal your money and then refuse to "do the right thing".  America is at a dis-service; the people in India working for Travelocity are very skilled in "giving lip service" and making sure they do all they can to "frustrate" you and confuse you as well.  This was a horrible experience with Travelocity and I am going to make sure everyone I know WILL know what Travelocity has done and I will encourage them to NOT EVER in Life use the Travelocity services and/or any business connected to them.
