Travelocity ripoff, complicated refund process, on hold for 1.5 hours, call center in India Nationwide

For a long time I used Travelocity and thought they were the best. But, in the last year things have slipped. Supposedly, I had $150.00 refund coming for use on a future trip. I booked the next trip at their website and found NO way to use my credit.

I called their customer service line and was told I had to talk to the reissue department. After being on hold for 87 minutes I spoke to the re-issue department. They said I had to talk to them first, prior to booking the trip. In other words I could NOt use the credit funds for this trip.

I asked if they could send me an email of their policy in regards to their policy on re-issuing funds and they said NO. What makes things even more difficult is most of there operators are in INdia and the speak BAD english, and they are difficult to understand.

To add insult to injury, I could have booked the Flight on Expedia or Orbitz for $70 less, but I used Travelocity as I had $150 in credit coming.

My advice would be to use Expedia or Orbitz at they have had signficanty fewer complaints against them. By the way Travelocity has started a new marketing blitz with a gnome that talks about their great guarantee. This is all hype as their service stinks.

17 Days and still waiting

17 days ago I recieved an email stating that someone would talk to me in regards to my problem in 4-8 hours. Well It has been 17 days and no one has called. I sent a follow up email 8 days ago and still no reply. It is quite apparent that Travelocity does nto care about their customers.

I have been emailing Travelocity cunstomer service now about every other day for 6 days now. I was orignally told that a member of the supervisory team would get a hold of me in 24 hours. Well it is 6 days later and I am still waiting.

Travelocity, No Reply from customer service

I emailed my complaint to travelocity's New email complaint service. There email customer service replied back that someone get back to me by phone in 24 hours. It has been 24 hours and no one has gotten back to me. It pretty much seem like all this talk about Travelocity new guarantees and customer service is just talk.
