I am a road warrior. Extreme business traveler with lots of experience. TAKE MY ADVICE DO NOT USE TRAVELWEB - the hotel company for Orbitz, if you're a heavy traveler.

I made my initial reservation involving travel to three cities. I had to change it the next day (a week prior to travel) and pay the $100 change fee, which I accept because everyone does it.

The part I didn't realize, even though i apparantly checked a tiny box with 42 pages of font one size print hidden behind it, was that I was about to be charged $5 for the first call, $5 for the second call, $30 for the transaction, and another $25 when I got my AMEX bill and discovered they never cancelled my hotel room. I cancelled it in person, but because they (travelweb)charged me, they HAD TO charge me $25 to issue a refund.

So Orbitz cost me $65 for a phone call. The worst was travelweb. They have zero interest in repeat business or anything remotely resembling decent customer service. I asked them directly, do you mind losing business from a company of 1000 travelling professionals for this ridiculous $25 fee?! In an annoying little nasally voice "well yes sir, you checked the terms and conditions box"

They said that about 18 times during the call by the way.
