Complaint Review: Tresor Rare Bahamas

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!    Was in Nassaua for one day as a cruise port.  Got pulled into this very nice looking store by a man claiming to be the regional manager.  He proceeded to apply the eye wrinkle cream on my friend, who is older, and then myself.  He was asking us a lot of personal questions about our skin care.. etc.  How much younger we could look just by using this cream.  My friend was sold.. so he gave us a "special" deal - two for one for $400 and gave us a "free" cleanser... if it would have ended there I would be somewhat ok... after that purchase though.. somehow we got passed off to another young man and things went bad.

He wanted to show us one more thing before we left.  It wouldn't take but a minute blah blah... got into talking about our age and that I still had so much time and needed to take care of my skin.  "Don't I want to get a man?"  The wrinkles on my forehead make me look so much older etc etc.  Got into asking me about my job, what I make and isn't my skin worth it, it's an investment  ... and how European woman take so much better care of their skin because they use "quality" products and on and on and on.  Even went as far to say that Mariah Carey had just been in two days ago and he personally did her facial and even showed us her "reciept" of the products she bought.  In the mean time, he's had champaigne brought out to us and just keeps talking the entire time and kept applying things to our face so we couldn't get up to leave.  No prices are displayed any where.. when that came up, he says he can give me a special deal by being one of their before and after people in pictures.  Before I even reailized it, he had pushed some type of light-emitting device that had been "developed by NASA" and 2-years worth of "free" product .. charging me approx $3,9970.  The No Refund policy is never dicussed.  We were never taken to the register, so we didn't see anything that "may" have been posted there.  He kept us talking and distracted the entire time....He would ship to me so we wouldn't have to take through customs.

By this time, we are running late and have to get back to port.  They know there are tons of tourists.. they pray on them... We rushed out.... walking back, my head cleared and I started to really feel uneasy about what had just happened.  I never spend this type of money on anything.  This was a Thursday.  I did not have inernet access on the cruise.  When I got home Saturday, I googled Tresor Rare and OMG tons of SCAM reports.  All describing high pressure sales techniques, bait and switch tactics, false advertsing, "special" offers and "free" offers.  I was pissed. I felt sick to my  stomach. I immediately tried to get intouch with Customer Service.  Of course since it was Saturday, I didn't get an answer so I emailed.  They replied on Monday with a stock format response saying unfortunately my order had already been processed and stated their NO REFUND policy.

For the past two weeks, I've gone back and forth with customer service with ZERO resolution.  About 25 emails so far.  Customer Service is a JOKE. They also sent the packages FEDEX with signature required, which they attempt to deliver while I"m not at home.  I don't want the product so I'm not making special arranements to get it. As for the product I did bring home.... the cleanser is extremely drying and irritates my skin and the eye cream.. ha.. sure as long as it drys on your skin and is tight ... but no lasting affect.  Also, packaging is deceiving and the syringe type applictor is not clear so you can't see how much product you are getting.  Does not feel like much.

So mad this happened and I don't want it to happen to others.  I've also filed a report with the BBB.  With all of the complaints, I can't believe this business is still allowed to operate.  STAY AWAY
