Tresor Rare Hanalei, HI UNETHICAL SALES PRACTICES?DID NOT DISCLOSE RETURN POLICY Hanalei Hawaii
In April 2017 I took my daughter to Hawaii. One of our stops was Hanalei (4/4/2017) on the island of Kaui. We stopped at a small outdoor shopping center. We began walking around. My daughter began talking to a young woman outside a store and she then accompaned the young lady inside. I was on the phone so did not go in to the store with her.
I began looking for my daughter and poked my head in the store and before I know it I was strong armed to have an eye cream applied. I was given a glass of wine and then the young lady asked a gentlemen collegue of hers to look at me face. More wine followed and before I knew it I had charged about $6000.00 on my credit card but lucky for me I was told theywere giving me a huge discount.
The said they would ship the products to me on the mainland. We left the store with no products in hand. An hour after leaving the store I came to my senses and called the store and asked him to cancel my order. He said he was unable to do this because it was a promotional sale. I told him he did not discslose this and we got into a rather heated convesation. I told him not to ship the products.
The next day I texted him again and told him to cancel the order. We left Hawaii two days later. I received an email from UPS on 4/10/17 sayng my parcel from them had been shipped. I called UPS and the shipment was intercepted and sent back.
I filed a dispute with my credit card company but I fear I will be responsible for the charges. My husband called the store and posed as a potential customer and was offerred huge disccounts on items. That is their game - products are always discounted so they can invoke a no returns policy on discouned or promotional items. They do not disclose this no returns policy.
